I remember rushing around and halfway through packing I realised the other suit place had dropped the ball — two weeks to the wedding. House of Menswear had what I needed in stock, messaged them, communication was clear, not flawless but steady, and everything arrived on time, done.
Relief in the end
I spotted the Ben Sherman polos on the site after a mate mentioned them and ordered two. They were late and I chased — no number, only chat. I almost gave up. Then they confirmed a resend and eventually refunded me when it still didn't arrive. I was pleased when the money finally showed up; relieved and grateful.
Slow, but it works
Halfway through month three I was about to cancel — loads of emails, tracking stuck — and I really needed it for everyday use at work. Turns out the company sorted it after a push, item landed and now it's on my desk most mornings. Still a pain to deal with, but now fairly reliable and usable.
Relief at last
I only relaxed when the recorded delivery landed the day after the wedding — ironic, but that was the moment I felt things had worked out, sort of. They promised next‑day after my complaint and a refund (still waiting), but at least the shirt turned up. I've had worse from other sellers, so I'm quietly glad it arrived even if it was messy.
That click of relief
I remember the exact moment I felt oddly satisfied. I checked the company address on Regent Street. The search threw up hundreds of listings at the same address. There was a clear warning on Google. That clarity felt good. I wasn’t happy about the scam. But finding solid evidence stopped the nagging doubt. If you’re unsure, do the same check. Saves time and a headache and money.
Not what I expected
Opened the box at my kitchen table and realised straight away it wasn't what I'd ordered. The item felt cheap, wrong size and couldn't be used, so that was annoying. I emailed a few times and got the usual "we're sorting your refund" messages from someone called Max, but nothing materialised — slow, vague and you end up chasing. Bit surprised the bank helped out and refunded me in the end. I've had better from other shops, honestly.
