I was half-way through a routine top-up when the KYC form popped up. I'd used the site many times before, no ID needed. I needed the service to sort a quick payment during a move, so I was annoyed. Refunding was impossible; there was no route to get my remaining gift card balance back. Also they took hefty cuts before — sometimes near 10% — even though I'd already paid fees on the code vendor. The surprise identity demand felt over the top. It's usable, and once it worked it was fast. But the fees and the sudden demand for full identity make me think twice. Not what I'd hoped.
Coupon gone, support slow
Was staring at the final confirmation when the site ate my coupon. I bought a £40 voucher from Driffle, sent the code to my mate's ETH wallet — it said complete, money gone, but the last page spat out "Please contact support". Three emails later, crickets. Honestly thought I'd been scammed; the voucher vanished and nothing arrived. A week later support finally replied and nudged the transfer through, so I'm relieved but annoyed by the silence and that error. Compared to other companies who fix things quickly, this was slow. Glad it ended OK, though.
Handy idea, sloppy follow-through
useful concept, clumsy execution and odd customer handling. If you want dependable crypto gifts, I’d go with Coinbase, Binance or Kraken — they’re less flaky.
Thought it was straightforward — turned out not to be
I tried to redeem a voucher on this site and it felt clunky from the start. The checkout showed a higher value, I clicked through, filled in my details and then the amount I actually received was noticeably less. No clear warning while redeeming, only the tiny receipt that mentions a fee later on. That rubbed me up the wrong way. I use these services sometimes to send small crypto gifts or to avoid lengthy KYC for quick swaps, so I don’t want surprises. The reply from support was polite but didn’t really help — just pointed to a fee percentage. So yeah, it worked in the end, but it left a sour taste and cost me time and cash. I’ll look for another route next time, maybe a Binance gift card and a quick swap with someone I trust.
Bit cheaper than it looks
it works, not slick, and the total cost felt high (roughly 18% all in). If you want cheaper, Wanda.exchange or Binance gift cards are worth a look.
Cuppa, panic and a small gift
Sat with a cuppa wondering if I'd just lost a few quid to the internet abyss. I clicked to swap some Shiba and the auto-reply said "transferred" but there was nothing on the blockchain, so yeah, panic. I hesitated before buying because of stories about slow support, and at first that fear looked spot on — replies were slow and my contact form seemed to vanish. I use crypto for small daily stuff (coffee, tipping mates), so it mattered. Eventually support actually chased IT, sorted the missing transaction, and even apologised with a small gift, which was a nice touch. Still a bit slow, but problem fixed and I'm back to using it without sweating every transfer.
Little hiccup, long wait
I was halfway through making a sandwich when I realised my crypto wallet was a bit low, so I tried to redeem a tiny voucher to top it up — you know, everyday stuff. The site let me hit redeem, then threw a vague error at me and told me to contact support. Support eventually fixed it, after a day or two, which was fine, but the awkward bit was the silence and the canned replies. It felt like shouting into a void and then being told "someone else will look at it" with no clue who or when. A few days later I tried again with a bigger voucher and, yep, same muddle. I lost time and about the value of two lunches while waiting. On the plus side, the fees aren’t a surprise once you’re used to the platform, and when they do act they actually sort it. Just wish they’d explain the why of the error instead of the usual mystery message — would save a lot of anxious refreshing.
