Caught in a sudden downpour on my cycle commute and the jacket did exactly what I bought it for — kept me dry and didn’t cling uncomfortably when I warmed up. I wear it most days, to work and at weekends, and the fabric feels robust without being heavy. Pockets sit in the right place and the hood actually stays put. Then a seam started to give after a few months. I filled in the warranty form, uploaded photos and gave the details, and for a while two different agents were on the case. Things got awkward after I posted a frank review online. A manager called in and asked for extra steps that hadn’t been mentioned before. It felt like the process suddenly got needlessly complicated. That said, after a bit of back and forth they did honour the claim — not quick, but it was sorted. I’m relieved and a bit pleased it ended up okay, even if the handling could have been smoother. Clearer communication and fewer surprises would help. The jacket itself is solid, and I’m glad it wasn’t a wasted purchase.

Combined with gear that actually keeps you dry and doesn’t fall apart after a season, that human touch makes a difference. It’s not perfect — pockets could be better — but overall reliable, purpose-built kit from a brand that knows its market. I’ll keep buying. They’ve lasted a few seasons too.
