money left my account in days, and then silence. Amazon updated the delivery once with 'running late', that kind of vague message, but after weeks nothing arrived and the seller stopped replying. I filed a refund request on 11 September and, after a lot of chasing, only got the money back in October — slower than you'd expect, and annoying. So I'm relieved I didn't lose the cash, but it's not a smooth experience: poor communication, long wait and unnecessary stress. If you like risk, give them a go; personally I'd be careful next time. At least the refund eventually came through, so I can be slightly thankful for that.

Oddly accused while trying to buy a present
I first spotted the iron on eBay after a mate flagged it to me and thought it’d make a decent gift for my wife. The seller charged my account, then cancelled saying it wasn’t in stock, even though their site still showed availability. I messaged to ask about alternatives — refunds hit me hard because of the exchange rate — and then this rep, Ryan, replied calling me a fraud and saying he’d told the authorities. That was the bit that really got to me; I was proper upset, stomach turning and all. I told my mate about it and we’re both baffled at how they handled it.
That bit when it all clicked
call back if you need to, be persistent, and keep calm — they do fix things, and sometimes in a nicer way than you expect. Overall pleased, surprised in a good way, and now enjoying the rides.
A bit of a saga
the colour I picked wasn’t available. Fair enough, they offered alternatives, I picked one straight away by email and they said it would ship. And then… silence. A week passed with nothing, so I emailed to cancel and left a voicemail. No reply. Sent another email, still nothing. In the meantime I found what I needed locally for my husband’s birthday, so cancellation was crucial. Then, out of the blue, someone else emailed to say the item had shipped. I’d already told them to cancel — I replied immediately with screenshots of my cancellation emails, no confirmation, no response. Two days later the box arrived. Fine, except they wanted me to pay £71 to return it and wait for a refund. I’ve sent messages, still waiting on confirmation of the refund. So, my initial worries about responsiveness were correct — they promised things that didn’t happen and communications were patchy at best. A bit disappointed, because when other places mess up they at least answer the phone. There’s some hope the refund will come through, but for now I wouldn’t risk ordering something time-sensitive from them again.
