I ordered Amalfi linen trousers that felt tight around my thighs. I emailed with a few questions about fit and returns, expecting the usual slow reply. Instead someone phoned the next day and we had a straightforward chat about linen behaviour, washes and the different cuts. So I ordered another pair and they're comfortable — cool to the touch, a bit crisp at first but they relax after a wash. Return was simple and quick. Handy for commuting or home working. Pleasantly surprised by the human touch.
Almost happy, then the sizes betrayed me
one parcel was late, the next turned up within a day, which saved me a panic attack. Customer service were helpful when I did ring them, and that actually made me less annoyed — they were straightforward and eager to sort stuff. If there’s one thing I’d tell anyone: don’t rush ordering before an event, and ring the shop to talk through the measurements properly (I thought I’d done that but probably didn’t ask the right questions). All in all I’m glad one piece worked out and that the team tried to help, but the inconsistent sizing spoils the otherwise decent experience.
