I was actually pretty happy with the whole thing, would buy again. I only noticed the meh reviews after ordering (typical me, lol) but my experience was fine. I ordered a couple of skincare bits and it arrived hand-delivered by FedEx in nine days — neat and tidy packaging, box with air padding and everything bubble-wrapped. I did pay customs (17dhs, roughly $4) which is annoying but not a dealbreaker — I’m used to that when ordering from abroad. Slight gripe: the site should make customs charges crystal clear, like in bold or a highlighted box, because a lot of the old complaints seem to be about that. Also, having a short cancellation window (12–24 hours) or an easy “edit cart” option would save a lot of hassle — I end up doing two orders sometimes, which is daft. Overall it slid from my mild scepticism into being genuinely pleased; service was smooth and packaging careful. If you’re on the fence, go for it, just check customs info first and maybe double-check your cart (shopaholics, you’ve been warned).
Box arrived, then reality hit
an apology and a link, no help, no refund, nada. On the plus side the goods themselves were fine and intact, even tasty, so at least that part wasn’t a disaster. Still, I won’t risk that surprise charge again — lesson learned.

They asked for a couple more details, escalated with FedEx, and — not overnight, but soon enough — they offered a refund or a resend. I chose the refund; it landed back in my account a couple of days later. That’s the moment I knew I was actually satisfied. Not because the delivery had gone smoothly — it hadn’t — but because the company finally owned it and fixed it without making me wrestle forever. It felt honest then. Could they be faster at the start? Definitely. Would I warn a friend? Yes, with a caveat. In the end I lost a kettle but gained a bit of faith that if you nudge them the right way, they’ll sort it.

As someone who loves Japanese food, I've been wanting to try Japanese Taste for a while. Even though I had heard some mixed reviews, I decided to give it a go and make an order. Recently, I ordered 4 boxes of chocolate-covered potato chips from a website. I was pretty happy with the whole experience. The product turned up in its original packaging and was exactly what I wanted. The only downside was that it took a little longer than expected to arrive. I get that maybe it was because of lots of stuff being sent out, but I wish there had been more info about this on the website.
Order confirmation delay

No updates, no messages, absolutely nothing. I was left in the dark until I randomly got an email saying my order was ready. I know things can sometimes take longer than planned, but three weeks of complete silence is just not on.
