I was charged straight away, weeks before anything shipped. Fine, but at least tell me why it's delayed. That never happened. Emails trickled back every week or more, so a quick question turned into a back-and-forth that went on and on. The suitcase itself wasn’t what I expected either. It felt lighter than it looked online, and the listed measurements didn’t match my needs, which is why I sent it back. Returning was annoying — a straight deduction from my refund for a return fee that felt steep for what they advertise as premium. Once they had the return it took ages before any money moved. 19 business days to start processing was the breaking point; I only relaxed when the refund finally hit my account. So, yes, I was happy in the end, but not impressed by how long it took or by the lack of helpful communication. A word of advice: double-check the dimensions, and expect slow replies. If they sorted customer service and stopped taking payment before shipping, this would be a much smoother purchase. I’m mildly disappointed overall, but relieved it ended without anything worse. A few small changes and it could be fine.
Arrival relief
a stubborn blue smudge from a supermarket tag came away almost entirely with a magic eraser. That surprised me, and it tipped my view from “overpriced” to “reasonable for what it offers.” Customer service was fine, if a bit slow at times, and delivery was on schedule. Would I buy it again? Probably, yes — mainly because of the way it handles under real conditions, and the fact that it still looks presentable after a handful of trips. If you want something that feels robust and you’ll use frequently, this does the job. If you plan to parade it spotless after every flight, maybe think again.
Missing pull-tab, happy ending
I didn’t realise how picky I’d be about small things until a zip pull went missing on a medium checked case after a transatlantic flight. It arrived with one complete pull tab gone; the zip still functioned, so no obvious damage, which made it stranger — I seriously wondered whether it fell off at the airport or during transfer. I almost didn't bother with a claim because Delta's six-hour damage window is ridiculous and I missed it, which annoyed me. Anyway, I filed a Monos lifetime warranty claim with photos and a note asking if they'd send just a replacement pull or instructions to fit one. To my surprise they replied and offered a full replacement luggage, no fuss. Ann from customer service was calm, quick and actually helpful, which put me at ease. The new case turned up two days ago and I felt properly reassured — my purchase doubts (is it worth the price? will support be any good?) have mostly gone. If you buy Monos, keep photos and report problems early with the airline, but expect solid support from the maker. Small gripe about the airline deadline aside, I'm pleased and will buy again.
