I can laugh about it now, but this jacket was a proper surprise. My girlfriend bought it for herself and it was massive on her, so I tried it on and it fit me like a glove — snug on the shoulders and really warm straight away. I started using it most days last winter and first impressions were great. After a week a few threads started to unravel and, months later, the zip has come undone a few times. Still, I enjoy wearing it; it feels good.
Faded print, awkward reply
I actually saw this hoodie on Instagram and told my mate to check it out — we both liked the design and I ordered. Opening the parcel was that little buzz, then I noticed the front print looked rubbed-out, like someone had already worn it. Weirdly, that exact moment I felt oddly satisfied that I’d spotted it straight away and could prove it — snapped a few photos, sent them off to support. They came back saying it’s “normal texture/pixelation” and wouldn’t offer a replacement, only the standard returns route. Bit of a let-down, to be honest. The top itself could have been great, and the checkout was fine, but their refusal to treat an obvious defect properly spoilt it. I’d warn friends to be careful — I wouldn’t recommend if you expect decent QC and a sensible customer team.
Hoodie, moving boxes and mixed feelings
would the colour be right, would it be comfortable, and could I actually return it if it turned out to be rubbish? I’ll be honest — those doubts didn’t vanish straight away. When the parcel arrived the fit was fine, the fabric felt durable and it kept my back warm during the move. That part worked, and I appreciated it. The colour though… not the same as online. It was flatter, a bit washed-out, like something that’s been through a few too many cycles in a machine. Not disastrous, but not what I’d expected either. What really irked me was the return information. One line said the buyer pays returns, then a bit further down it implied returns were free. I took screenshots because that contradiction made no sense, and I thought, right, if there’s an issue I’ll have proof. I got in touch and the reply felt canned — they restated policy rather than addressing the confusion or apologising for the unclear wording. A straightforward “sorry, we’ll update that” would’ve mattered. Instead I felt dismissed, which is frustrating when you’ve been loyal to a brand and paid good money. So, mixed bag: product performance — pretty good for what I needed — but communication and policy clarity — not great. I appreciate the hoodie in practical terms; it did the job during a tiring weekend of manual labour and the material seems solid enough to last. But the experience left me cautious about buying again. If they tightened up their website and trained support to respond more thoughtfully, I’d be inclined to give them another go. As it stands, I won’t rush back, though I won’t swear off them forever. Small improvements would make a big difference — clearer returns, a proper acknowledgement when things go wrong, and photos that actually match the item. That would turn my current “useful but uneasy” into a straightforward recommendation.
