By lunchtime, the head shaking had become impossible to ignore. Our one-year-old Jack Russell had been flicking his head about for a couple of days, and although he was still charging round the garden as usual, he clearly wasn’t comfortable. I booked the vet mainly because ear problems can get worse quickly, but I did wonder beforehand whether it might turn out to be a fairly straightforward visit.
