Real old fashioned customer service!!
Old fashioned customer service in a modern world is so much less common these days but today I came across real ‘Customer Service’ in spades.
I visited our local (Dereham) store and was served by ‘Jo’. I had many queries regarding Grain Free dog food. My regular feed is imported from Canada and I’m really keen to change to a more locally sourced item.
I cannot emphasise too highly just how caring and informative this young lady was. Every query was answered and nothing too much trouble. As I left the store with an own product small bag to sample, she was keen to say if there was anything else I thought of that she hadn’t answered - then a quick question via their website should produce a reply.
Back home and there was one question left unanswered when comparing my old and the new bag of feed. Quick email to ‘Contact Us’ on the website and ‘Mark’ was back with a response within just two minutes (yes! TWO minutes).
I call that pretty amazing and really old fashioned Good Customer Service.

I went to the pet store recently to pick up some supplies for my furry friends. The selection was pretty good and the prices were reasonable. However, I was a bit concerned about how they were handling personal information. While I was waiting in line, I heard the staff asking every customer for their personal details like their name, postcode, and address. It made me uncomfortable that they were just saying all this out loud. When it was my turn, I made sure to speak quietly, but even then, they repeated my address for everyone to hear. It really made me question whether they take data security seriously. With identity theft and cyber crimes being so common these days, it's not on to be so careless with sensitive information.
Dog accessories and pet food
I popped into that shop the other day to get some bits and bobs for my dog, like accessories and food. Let me tell you, the staff there were so friendly and knew their stuff when it came to the things they had in store. They really took the time to hear what I needed and gave me some good advice on the different choices they had. I was really impressed by how they went the extra mile to make sure I got just what I was looking for. The things I got were top-notch, and my dog was over the moon with them. All in all, it was a great shopping trip, all thanks to those helpful staff members.
Dog food and toys
I went to the shop the other day and honestly, I was a bit let down by how I was ignored when I walked in. Normally, the staff there are super nice and give me a good welcome, but this time they seemed like they couldn't care less. The person serving me didn't really help much and didn't seem bothered about assisting me. That said, I was happy that in the end they did give me a discount on what I bought and even chucked in a voucher for next time. But even with that, I left feeling like they didn't really appreciate me as a customer.
Cat food for a fussy eater
I went to the shop not long ago and I was really impressed by how helpful one of the staff members was. The young lady who helped me really went out of her way to assist me in finding the perfect cat food for my very fussy feline. She knew all about the various protein levels and other bits and bobs in the products, making sure I picked the right one for my pet. Thanks to her suggestion, my cat really enjoyed the new food, so I'll definitely be going back to get more in the future.

I can honestly say I've never been let down by the level of care and attention my pet has received at this store.

Don't let the nice staff fool you, they may seem helpful but the store doesn't offer anything special or unique. The prices are fair, but that's pretty much the only good thing about it. Despite calling itself 'clean', there was still a bit of a weird smell in the store. All in all, a bit of a letdown.

Hamster cage purchase
I bought a hamster cage from the shop the other day, and when I got it back home, I realised that one of the tubes was broken. I was pretty gutted as I was excited to set it up for my little pet. But when I took it back to the store, the staff were really nice and helpful. They quickly swapped out the broken part without any trouble. I was really impressed with how they dealt with the problem and sorted it out without any fuss.
