when I finally lodged a PayPal claim they sorted the refund properly and fairly quickly, which was a relief — really made me feel like it ended on a proper note rather than hanging. I’ll be honest, the customer service was frustrating and the lack of communication was the main issue, but I’m genuinely grateful I got my money back without a fight in the end. If you’re tempted because a friend recommended them, just be prepared to follow up a lot and maybe set your expectations low for speed. I’d use them again only if they’ve clearly improved their response times, but for now I’m relieved it finished neatly.
Small hiccup, but I’m pleased
I’m actually quite pleased with how this turned out. I forgot to add a 10% new-customer code at checkout and messaged customer support within a couple of hours on a Saturday. They asked for a screenshot later that day, which I sent straight away, and then said they were having technical issues and would come back to me in 12–15 hours. The order was shipped without an update the next morning, so I had to chase them again once it arrived. In the end they didn’t refund that bit, but they did confirm the code is valid for the future. Irritating? Yes. Worth walking away over? Not really. The item itself was fine — exactly as described — and delivery wasn’t terrible. I appreciated that replies were polite, even if they were slow and a bit vague. If you’re tempted to buy, my tip is: apply the code at checkout and double-check before you hit pay. And if something goes wrong, be ready to nudge them — it helps. I’m grateful the product met expectations and I can overlook the clumsy handling of a small discount. A bit more speed and honesty from support would have made it perfect, but I’m leaving happy enough to give them another go.
Late dispatch, but sorted in the end

They offered to refund the extra shipping charge and to upgrade the carrier once the parcel was ready. I could tell it wasn’t just a scripted line. They were efficient then. The parcel still arrived later than I’d hoped, so I missed the Sunday window. Still, when it turned up the item itself was fine, as described, no damage, and the packaging was tidy. The refund for express postage arrived promptly to my account, and the upgrade credit was used for the return postage I had to arrange. So I was left with mixed feelings: annoyed at the delay, pleased by the way they fixed it when pushed. In short: check the fine print, don’t assume same-day unless you see a confirmation, and follow up if it’s urgent. If they’re slow at first, they might make an effort once you complain. Not perfect. But the effort to resolve made me willing to give them another go, cautiously.

Order fulfillment issue
I've had a lot of problems with Playful Promises when it comes to fulfilling orders. Their website seems to have real issues with keeping track of what's actually in stock, which has caused delays and even cancellations. The customer service I got was pretty bad too, they weren't very helpful at all when it came to sorting out the lack of supply, giving refunds, or just generally helping me out. Getting a discount voucher for a future purchase doesn't really make up for all the hassle they've put me through.
I placed my order on May 10th, and I was expecting to get it in 2-3 working days. But then on May 14th, they told me that the item was actually out of stock, so they couldn't send it to me. After asking for a refund, I had to wait for two whole weeks without any updates. Even though they gave me a 30% discount voucher, I still think I should get my money back quickly and a good explanation for why it's taken so long.

Ramona Bra straps issue
