I joined the annual plan about a year ago—roughly twelve months—and used the membership mostly for the online resources and tools. At first it felt straightforward and a bit clever, the interface is tidy and the content helped me, unexpectedly. Five days ago my card was debited for the next year with no prior reminder; no human reply either, only an automated note about high email volumes. That admin slip is annoying and feels a bit like being forgotten, but the product itself does what it says.
Mixed feelings about the lifetime pass
I signed up because my lower back had been acting up and I wanted to follow Mimi Kuo Deemer properly, not just dip in now and then. Paid for the lifetime pass hoping new Qigong courses would be available as they come. Fast forward six months and I’m blocked from her latest course — and it looks like that deeper module sits behind another paywall. It’s odd, feels misleading, and yes, a bit annoying that I’m being asked to re-buy what I thought I already bought. On the bright side the instructors are actually very good and a few sessions helped my posture more than I expected, so that was a nice surprise. Still, clearer info would’ve saved some frustration.
Where it finally clicked
a Jeff meditation stopped my buzzing thoughts and Schuyler’s class eased a niggling backache. Nothing dramatic, just proper useful. The courses are varied and not just trendy talk; I find myself picking them most weeks. Podcasts are handy on busy commutes, and the whole thing has slipped into my routine in a nice, low-pressure way. I’m honestly grateful it’s been worth the money — feels like a gift to future-me. Not perfect, there’s room to tweak, but it’s real and it helps. I’d recommend it to mates who want something that actually works.
A proper pleasant surprise
I first saw this on a colleague’s Instagram story, honestly while I was half-paying attention at my desk. I signed up for a free session just to see what the fuss was about, and that was the moment it clicked — during the second class when the host actually addressed the group and followed up afterwards. I thought, right, this is legit. Since then I’ve kept going to the free stuff and splashed out on a paid course when I could (and told my sister and a couple of mates to try it). They make a lot available without charging, for short periods at least, which made me properly grateful — not many places do that. It feels like a business that cares, not just a brand shouting wellness buzzwords. If you’ve got a smartphone and half an hour, give something a go. I’m glad I did; it turned out better than I expected and I keep recommending it.
