clear, timely, practical. They hit deadlines, asked sensible questions, and didn’t disappear once the invoice was paid. Price felt fair for the quality — not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I was sceptical at the start, mildly fussy, but now I feel confident to let them manage more of our channels. Would recommend trying them if you want a dependable, hands-on crew.
Finally took charge
It sounds odd, but I knew I was actually satisfied the moment I told them to stop and cancel — not when they promised anything. I needed an app for my small business (had back pain and was trying to make the move to a less physical job, long story) and I'd already had a bad run with a previous website builder, so I was keen but cautious. I paid a £1,300 deposit because they said funding would follow. Then they started writing a business plan without me asking and said funding would take 14 days. That funding never appeared. When I asked for a refund they suddenly wanted to charge me for the business plan – which I never agreed to – and tried to get me to re-route money from my previous supplier. I have recordings of the conversations. They offered to return £1,100 but it’s been a month with nothing in my account. So the relief I felt was not about their promises but about deciding to stop waiting and demand the full refund, or take legal action. That decision made me feel satisfied, a small victory. Still waiting for the money though, and yes, I will pursue it if necessary.
When I finally felt relief
set up a Meta lead campaign and do a content rewrite for our site. For a while it was just a drip of emails and polite reassurances, nothing dramatic. Then things went sideways. Calls weren’t returned, the person who was supposed to be overseeing everything (their so‑called VP) acted like a project manager with no clout, and progress slowed to a crawl. The Meta campaign never launched, which was a proper problem for us, and the website rewrite that started in late July still wasn’t finished weeks later. My SEO score had been 85 before they touched anything; last I checked it had slipped to 77. That’s not huge, but it’s real and it mattered to me.
What tipped me from annoyed to actually satisfied wasn’t a refund or some dramatic apology — it was the moment I decided to stop waiting. I gathered all correspondence, froze the work, and moved our assets to someone else. That might sound odd, but the relief was immediate. No more chasing read receipts, no more vague promises about "we don’t outsource" while not letting me speak to the content team. I’d had enough of inconsistent product pages (one page with four FAQs, another with eight, different formats all over the place), and the near‑absence of my company name in the new copy — maybe ten mentions if I’m being generous. There were also claims about being Google certified and a shiny BBB profile, which didn’t line up with what I found digging into reviews.
I’m not trying to rant just to rant; the satisfying bit was taking control back. I told the people involved I was ending things, found new help, and watched the chaos stop. There’s a little satisfaction in closing the loop yourself, even if it’s messy. If you’re thinking of using them, don’t go in blind — look for proof, talk to the actual writers, and be ready to pull the plug if you need to.Flip-through disappointment
I was actually flipping through the printed copy when I realised the headings were black, not blue like one of their project managers, Ashley, insisted she’d seen. That set the tone. I hired the outfit to edit two books between March and April 2024 and honestly it’s been a bit of a mess. People kept changing on the account, literally a different project lead almost every month, which made everything slow and confusing. The bio on the back was wrong and that cost me sending books to a conference on time — she didn’t apologise, which was annoying. On the plus side, they did put together some nice-looking Instagram images, they look tidy enough, but that’s about surface level. Underneath the editing felt patchy; I ended up spending a lot of extra time fixing things myself. What worried me most was finding out they use freelance contractors on Fiverr and sometimes those contractors messaged me directly using my account details — not professional. I used another small publisher before and they were much more straightforward, so maybe my expectations were shaped by that. So, it’s not completely hopeless — you do get something back — but it’s inconsistent, a bit untrustworthy at times, and you’ll need patience and follow-up. I wouldn’t recommend them if you want a smooth, reliable service.
