Alidad course review
As a client of Create Academy, I recently finished the Alidad course and I have to say, it was absolutely fantastic. The teacher, Alidad, showed such passion and knowledge in every class, which really made the learning experience enjoyable. His clear guidance and expertise have helped me feel more confident in creating cosy, well-designed rooms, even though my own living space might not be as luxurious as those in country houses or London apartments. I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to improve their interior design skills. However, I should mention that Alidad's style may not be everyone's taste. I already have a few more Create Academy courses lined up and I can't wait to learn more from their skilled teachers.
Floristry masterclass
I recently signed up for a floristry masterclass after a friend recommended it to me. I have to say, I am really enjoying the way the class is set up. Each session focuses on a different part of flower arranging, and I really like the simplicity and beauty of the techniques they teach. The videos are of such high quality, it's really easy to follow and learn from them. And I have to give a shout out to the instructor, Willow Crossley - she is just lovely. You can tell she really loves flowers, the way she handles them with care and respect, almost like they're people. I've already picked up so many tips from her and have been able to make my home look even more beautiful for my family.

Having watched a few online courses at the academy, I have to say I'm really impressed with the quality of content they offer. The interior designers and creatives featured on the site are top-notch, from Rita Konig to Nina Campbell to Edward Bulmer. The academy provides a wide range of expertise and insights that are incredibly valuable for anyone looking to improve their interior design skills. What I like most is the flexibility to watch the courses at my own pace and whenever it suits me, which is really handy for someone with a busy schedule like mine. I've completed 3 courses from Create Academy - Rita Konig, Gabby Deeming, and Lisa Dawson. I've learned loads from each designer and their tips have really helped me spruce up my home. I find myself going back to the courses and implementing their ideas in my interior design. I'm looking forward to buying more courses in the future, with Willow Crossley and Annie Sloan being the next ones on my radar!
Curtain making course
The curtain making course at Create Academy was really great - I learned so much. I already had a bit of knowledge with blinds and cafe/counter curtains, but this course really helped me to expand my skills. Gemma, the instructor, was excellent at explaining things clearly and showing us the different stitch types. Having visual references throughout the course was a big help too. I'm excited about the idea of Gemma creating more courses, especially one on interlined curtains and London blinds. I've already signed up and I'm working through all the content eagerly.
Creative courses and membership
I really love all the different creative courses they offer at the academy. The talent and inspiration you find there are just incredible. The new membership option has made it so much more affordable for everyone to make use of these amazing resources. Taking these courses has been a great way for me to take a break from all the social media distractions and actually work on improving my skills and getting more creative. One course in particular, by Miles Redd, was just so inspiring - it motivated me to finally hang up all the artworks I had lying around collecting dust.
Interior design and furniture restoration courses
I've been really impressed with the courses they offer at this academy. Rita Konig's interior design course was so helpful and practical, giving me loads of useful tips that I've actually used in my own home. Thanks to what I learnt on the course, my friends have even asked me to help with their interior decorating projects. I've just started Annie Sloan's furniture restoration course and I'm already seeing amazing results. The support and motivation in the course have really inspired me to start creating my own one-of-a-kind pieces.
Photography course
The photography course I did was really informative and well-organised. Jason did a great job explaining all the technical bits of photography, which has really boosted my confidence in using a professional camera. I'm thankful for the detailed explanations and demos he gave, they've really helped me level up my photography skills. I keep going back to the course materials to keep on learning and getting better. Honestly, I'd totally recommend this course to anyone keen on photography. I really love the home design courses at Create Academy! I've done five courses already and my top picks are definitely Rita Konig and Amanda Lindroth's. Willow Crossley's floral design course was also fantastic - really inspiring! It's so handy being able to go back to these courses whenever I need a bit of inspiration, even months after finishing them.
Interior design courses
I've been lucky enough to do some interior design courses with top experts like Rita Konig, Lisa Dawson, Gabby Deeming, and Nina Campbell. The stuff they teach is so inspiring and helpful. I keep going back to the courses for more tips and ideas, it's really boosted my creativity. Being able to give and get vouchers for these courses as gifts is a brilliant idea, especially for creative people who are hard to buy for. I can't wait to do more courses in the future!
Rita Konig interiors series
I absolutely adored the Rita Konig interiors series at Create Academy! It completely fulfilled my passion for interior design and I gained so much knowledge from it. I've actually watched all the episodes twice and made notes for my own decorating ideas in the future. Rita's sense of humour was so entertaining, I'm really excited for her next series!
Course on planting design
I've just finished a course on planting design. I really liked the quality of the content and Dan Pearson's ideas and methods. However, I did feel like the course could have had more practical examples and guidance. Even though Dan talked about planting layouts, density, and combinations, I was hoping for more hands-on help to improve my skills in creating planting designs. Maybe my expectations were a bit too high because of the course title, but I really wish there were more practical examples and step-by-step instructions included.
Annie Sloan course purchase
I recently bought the Annie Sloan course from Create Academy after watching Alidad, Rita Konig, Gaby Deeming, and Nina Campbell. I have to say, I find myself going back to this course over and over again because it has given me loads of useful tips and awesome inspiration. Thanks to this course, my home now looks brighter and happier. I really think Create Academy is great because you can always go back to your courses for ongoing learning and getting better.
Craft course review
The teacher at Create Academy was really enthusiastic and knew their stuff, but the course content wasn't as detailed or varied as I was expecting. I did manage to learn a couple of new things, but I felt like it was a bit too repetitive and didn't keep me interested. I've taken other courses with different teachers that had a wider range of topics and were more engaging. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with this one.
Annual package purchase
I purchased the yearly package and kicked things off with Sarah Raven's course. It was absolutely fantastic, like really incredible. I was amazed at how straightforward it was to follow. I'm thrilled with my buy and I'm eager to dive into the next course on the list. It's so cool that I have access to all these amazing courses.
Photography course purchase
Taking the photography course by Jason Ingram at Create Academy has really changed how I think about photography. I've always loved taking pictures and capturing moments, but since finishing this course, it's like a whole new world has been revealed to me. Each lesson has taught me so much, from different techniques and perspectives to how crucial lighting and framing are. Jason Ingram's knowledge and guidance have been priceless, and I'm so excited about the progress I've made already.
Interior decorating course
I really enjoyed the interior decorating course, but I wish they showed more of Rita's decorated spaces and design standards. I wanted to see where she places light switch plates, her favourite paint finishes, choice of pillows, and so on. It would have been really helpful for me. I also liked that they included shopping options for both the US and UK. I've been a fan of Rita ever since her time at Domino, and I've always appreciated her work and advice for my various homes.
