Monday test of patience 22 April 2026

I opened it on a grey Monday and expected a few dull tasks. I had doubts before we started. I had read complaints from other students and felt it might be overbearing. Those doubts didn’t disappear. If anything, they were confirmed. The system forces repetitive drills. Short, narrow problems that rarely feel relevant. It reminds me of other platforms I tried that promise big gains but just add time to the day. As a student I found it stressful. As a parent (I’ve tried a different provider at home before) I can see the same pattern — lots of clicks, little payoff. It does track progress, yes, but it also turns simple topics into chores. Teachers might like the data. Pupils don’t enjoy doing it, and that matters. If you’re homeschooling, think twice. I can’t say it helped me learn better in any clear way; it mostly added pressure. Dry, boring, persistent. Useful for drilling maybe. Worth it for everyone — no. Worth trying with caution — perhaps.
