don’t expect the promo to actually work. I ordered enough to qualify for the freebie, opened the parcel and the extra was missing. I phoned straight away but hit an answerphone, left a message asking for a replacement and then went away on a week-long cruise. When I got back there was still nothing, and the party I’d bought for was already that evening, so there wasn’t time to sort it out. A few weeks later I rang again and finally spoke to someone — he introduced himself as Justin. He was rude, told me I hadn’t ordered the free gift and accused me of making it up. I showed him the invoice where it’s literally listed, and he still dug his heels in, saying he wouldn’t replace it because the event had passed. He even suggested we’d sent something I didn’t like and that was why I was calling. That was a bit of a surprise — I didn’t expect to be accused of lying. Eventually, after I said I’d post reviews, he grudgingly said “we will send you something” but added in a sarcastic tone that I couldn’t choose what it would be. So yeah, the order itself arrived but the promotion didn’t and the customer service was dismissive and argumentative. If you’re planning an event I’d suggest using another supplier or at least taking screenshots of your invoice and emailing straight away rather than relying on phone messages. It’ll save you annoyance and an awkward call on the day.
Half my order vanished — what a palaver
Funny thing, most of the stress came from stuff that never even turned up. Ordered roughly £60 worth of bits for my sister’s bachelorette (yes, last-minute chaos) and it became a saga. I needed the lot for decorations and a few party games because my back’s been rubbish and I couldn’t dash about collecting things myself. I emailed them about five times and called loads — the phone rings about four times and straight to voicemail each time, like clockwork. My mum got through with one ring (of course she did) and was told it had been shipped, but eighteen business days later I’d seen nothing. When she mentioned that, the bloke on the phone went a bit defensive and abrupt, which didn’t help. Eventually I chased a refund and they did process something, but it took forever and by then I’d had to order replacements elsewhere — the whole point of having a stress-free prep was gone. So, not a total disaster because the company did sort a refund in the end, but delivery and communication were rubbish and left me scrabbling. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re on a tight deadline, honestly.
