My brother mentioned this eSIM after using it abroad, so I gave it a go. It was already fine on my old Android, but moving it to a different brand was the bit I was worried about. Turns out it needed an update first. Support talked me through it without making it confusing, which was a relief. Once installed on the new phone, it connected straight away. Honestly, the transfer was much less of a faff than expected.
It just got on with it
replies take too long. A WhatsApp option for live issues would make a real difference, simple as that.
Less hassle than expected
It was less fiddly than expected, a real relief. I bought it to keep data for maps, messages and a bit of browsing when I’m out. At first I assumed my older Android would cause trouble and nearly gave up before using the app’s compatibility checker. After entering my handset details, it was straightforward. The card arrived promptly, and the instructions were clear without drowning me in jargon. I started with a small data bundle, scanned the code, followed the steps, and it connected without any drama. I’m not especially confident with tech, so that matters more than fancy features. It may not be the cheapest route, but it works exactly as needed.
It nearly met the kitchen bin
fit the SIM, install the app, buy a regional package, scan the QR code from the email. On the first occasion it actually loaded, I thought, “Right, that’s me sorted.” For a day or two, it was fine.
