sticky, slow, and disappointing. So I ordered this more out of mild desperation than optimism. To my surprise, it didn’t feel like the usual faff. It sinks in quick, you can still feel it working but it’s not greasy or leaving a horrible smear on your phone or paperwork. That was the first thing that made me relax a bit.
I’m not going to pretend it’s a miracle overnight cure. On a bad day, after a lot of washing, I do need to reapply. It’s improved the colour, suppleness and the little splits I used to get — there’s a real difference. I used to keep cotton gloves on at my desk; now I don’t look like some office mime anymore, which is nice. The pump bottle by the sink is my new best mate and the mini tubes are handy in the bag for when you forget common sense and wash your hands too often.
A couple of practical things: I did worry about postage and whether it’d turn up slow, but delivery was fine. Price-wise it’s not the cheapest thing in the world, so I understand if you balk — I did — but after a few weeks I decided it was worth it. I’ve gifted tubes to friends who were sceptical and they keep coming back to me asking where it’s from. My only gripe is that during a really long hot-water session it needs topping up, but that’s on the washing, not the cream.
If you’re on the fence like I was, try a mini first. It might be exactly the one you’ve been hunting for, or at least it’ll make the handshake less terrifying.Almost perfect cream, disappointing pump
the 300ml pump bottles are frustrating. I complained years ago (2020/21) about the pump straw being too short, so I switched to tubes for a while. Tubes run out fast though, not economical, so I gave the big bottle another go. Same problem — about a quarter of the cream just won’t pump out and you end up digging it out or wasting it. I bought two green 300ml bottles from Boots and both were the same. Delivery from the retailer was fine, no issues there, but I’ve tried to flag this to the brand before and didn’t get any meaningful fix or feedback. I can send photos to show the difference if they want. It’s a shame because the product itself is brilliant, but the packaging and the lack of follow-up from customer service sour it a bit.
