Seeing the tracking frozen at Grove City was the point I realised this order was going nowhere. I’d bought two knives on 29 August, and FedEx had shown no movement since 4 September. By the 18th, they told me Artisan Cutlery needed to open a case. I emailed four times, got nothing back, and the phone number seemed dead. Maybe the knives are fine, but the process clearly wasn’t.
The missing bit
Oddly, the one part I needed was the bit missing. I first came across the CJRB Resource while looking for a left-hand carry option, so the absent left-hand pocket clip rather defeats the purchase. I emailed several times and used the website form too. Weeks have gone by with nothing back, not even a basic acknowledgement. The lack of any customer support has put me off buying from CJRB again. Pretty disappointing, really.
Nice feel, poor follow-up
Oddly, after years of buying and giving away Artisan/CJRB knives — honestly, half a dozen as gifts and a couple for me — I had high hopes for the Revel. It feels lovely in the palm, decent weight, blade grinds are tidy and the pocket clip sits well; you notice it during your morning routine and when slicing fruit. Trouble is the button lock is inconsistent, it doesn't always engage properly, so I sent an email asking for an exchange. No reply at all, not even a holding message. Kinda frustrating; feels a bit dismissive.
