holiday
We have travelled for 11years with Balkan without any issues. Flying to Bulgaria on 22nd June this year we had our 3 year old grand daughter (she was 3 the week before) who has been in two horrific car crashes this year. She was frightened of putting on a seat belt and the flight attendant kindly asked if I'd like a child belt so she could sit on my knee for take off and landing. This was very much appreciated. On our return flight on 6th July I asked the flight attendant if I could have another child belt to do the same again, Her reply was "no". I started to explain she was frightened and about her car accidents and she said "she's a small child and she needs to do as she's told", with that she walked away. Several passengers remarked on her disgusting attitude and rudeness. I understand safety is paramount on flights but to be so dismissive and rude was unbelievable. What followed was one screaming, frightened little girl who disrupted everyone's flight. Totally uncalled for.

Last-minute holiday at a lovely hotel
I recently went on a spontaneous holiday and had an absolute blast! Despite some minor hiccups during the flight, once I arrived at the Melia hotel in Golden Sands, everything was fantastic. The hotel is massive with multiple pools, water slides, a stage, and a direct path to the beach. Additionally, there are various restaurants offering different cuisines, a hair salon, sauna, and spa facilities. My room was spacious and comfortable, complete with a balcony, and the bathroom was lovely. The entertainment team was hilarious and really enhanced the overall experience of the trip. I would definitely recommend it to others!
Recent holiday booking
My recent holiday booking with your company was quite good. We did have a small problem with our flight seats that we paid extra for, but the hotel stay went well. The hotel was nice and clean, the staff were helpful, and the cleaners did a good job. The food was alright, but it could have been a bit more varied. The breakfast was definitely the best part. The transfers and flights were on time, although there was a delay in getting our luggage when we returned. Even with that hiccup, I would still think about booking another trip to Bulgaria with your company in the future.
Repeat Customer at Four Points by Sheraton
My first time with this company was brilliant. I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton last year and everything went perfectly from beginning to end. From checking in at Teesside airport to the coach transfer to the hotel, I had no problems at all. The service was fantastic and I was really impressed by how smoothly everything went. That's why I've chosen to book with them again this year and I can't wait for my upcoming holiday. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a hassle-free travel experience.
Great online booking
Balkan Holidays is fantastic, we've been on loads of holidays with them and booking online is always really easy. Once I needed to change my booking and the customer service was brilliant. They phoned me back in just 10 minutes and sorted everything out super quickly. Not many airlines would do that, I was really impressed!

The website was so simple to use when we chose our holiday destination. Booking and paying was a piece of cake, and we received our receipt and confirmation really quickly. I would definitely recommend it.
Holiday to Montenegro May 2020
Due to Covid-19, we were advised by Balkan that our holiday in May had to be cancelled. We were allowed to rebook either later in the year, next year or have a total refund. We were unable to book immediately so requested a full refund. Having heard about so many poor holiday makers who were 'battling' to get refunds, we were so impressed with Balkan when having requested a full refund found our credit card had been credited within 5 days! What fantastic service and so efficient. We shall certainly book with Balkan again
Easy and affordable holiday booking
This was my first time using the service and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The website was easy to use and had a lot of hotels and locations to pick from. The prices were quite reasonable compared to other holiday booking websites I've used before. I managed to find a fantastic deal on a holiday package that matched my budget and preferences perfectly. The booking process went really smoothly and was hassle-free, which I really liked as a customer.
Family holiday dates changed
Alright, so I accidentally booked the wrong dates for our family holiday and I panicked. But then I phoned up and spoke to this really lovely lady called Anna who completely saved the day! Anna was incredibly helpful and managed to fix everything for us with no extra costs. Honestly, I was so impressed by how amazing the service was.
Affordable vacation package
The holiday deal I got was really good value for money, and booking everything was easy peasy. The customer service peeps were dead sound and really made me feel happy with my decision. Only downside was the plane seats being well uncomfortable, sort of put a dampener on things but overall it was a cracking experience.
Flight booking
Booking a flight was really easy with no problems at all. I liked that I could book a flight from my local airport and the departure was well-planned, so there was no stress. The only issue was that I couldn't book a return ticket for more than 14 days, so I had to buy two separate one-way tickets.

Late booking, no loyalty discount
Booking my holiday was really easy, just as I thought it would be. But, I've been booking with this company for over 20 years now, and I was surprised that they didn't give me any kind of loyalty discount, even though I booked at short notice. It's disappointing that they didn't acknowledge my loyalty in some way.
