Oddly, the paperwork and notifications turned up on time, so delivery was fine — which I appreciated. Customer service is usually straightforward, but last time they gave me the wrong directions about a squeeze-out and I had to read the company announcements myself to work out my rights. They sorted it eventually, but it wasn't ideal; better than some banks, worse than others, really.
Support that made me stay
Midway through a slightly panicky evening a clear reply landed and I relaxed. I’d been wrestling with the interface and feared, like with a couple of other brokers, it would drag on. Athanasios in support talked me through the fix step by step, politely and effectively, and the issue was sorted there and then. That moment — when it stopped being fiddly and just worked — is why I’ll keep using Freedom24. Solid service, straightforward platform.

Strange start, relieved it worked
awkward. There’s no obvious contact email and support only appears once you’re logged in. That became a problem when I got locked out — the site wouldn’t let me raise a ticket from outside. The app and browser ticket form lagged or failed. I felt uneasy about the deposit. It did take longer than I’d like to get any response. In the end they did restore access and my money was intact, which I’m quietly relieved about. The interface itself is clunky but usable. Things feel a bit clumsy when you actually use it; slow pages, odd error messages. I’m glad it didn’t end badly, but expect a rough ride at first. Support could definitely be a lot better.
Slow transfers, costly surprise
not reliable for urgent transfers. I needed the money to cover a move and some immediate bills, so timing mattered. The transfer just hung around. Their support kept repeating that they were waiting on another team. Days went by. After about a month the funds came back, but short by €65 for intermediary bank fees. Apparently the payment was blocked by an intermediary citing regulatory concerns — the recipient country was flagged. That explanation came from my own bank, not clearly from them. Small positive: at least the money was returned in the end, which I didn't expect. Still, the lack of clear warnings about routing and the steady loop of replies made the whole thing stressful. I won’t risk a similar transfer again.
