I ended up buying a diesel heater through ManoMano and got tangled with a seller calling itself Tempsa UK. The product arrived but the handbook was almost unreadable — terrible translations, missing steps and guesswork. I tried to get help from Tempsa and Hcalory; replies were slow and vague. ManoMano's support was actually very good and they arranged a full refund, which I'm grateful for. I've had smoother experiences elsewhere, so this was disappointing. Still, pleased it was resolved without a fight. Keep an eye on the manuals if you order.
Not the monster they promised
it's nowhere near the 5–8 kW they advertise, so don’t expect miracles. I compared it to a three‑year‑old Aldi 2 kW fan heater and a cheap eBay unit I grabbed for £59.99 just to be sure. The eBay one looks almost identical inside and both of the branded diesel heaters seemed to give about the same meek warmth. My rough guess is 1–1.5 kW output. Funny thing — the little £13 Aldi still felt warmer even with both diesels running. Not what the marketing suggested. On the bright side, spares are easy to find on the website, and I’m actually a bit relieved it wasn’t worse. Next time I’ll buy the clone and save the cash.
Shambles with a decent-looking product
00 blaming the courier for handing it to another courier. Creative explanation, that one. Today, 20 August, they tell me the courier has blocked the parcel and they can't ship. I needed it for the 23rd for a holiday. The photos made the heater look fine and the price wasn't bad, so in theory it could have worked out. In practice I never got to try it and now I must wait before filing a refund case. They weren't rude, just disorganised and slow. I've had worse with tiny marketplaces, but this felt unnecessarily sloppy. Not a total disaster yet, but far from a smooth purchase.
