Walking out I knew I'd made the right choice. I popped in a couple of weeks ago for the free hearing test and they showed me exactly where I was losing stuff. I got to try three different aids in proper situations, not just a quick demo. Staff were easygoing and helpful. First impression was honest and practical. Bit daft I left it so long, but really glad I went.
Almost didn't buy
I nearly didn't buy these — I was wary about ordering hearing aids online, I'd had a bad experience with a shop and I wasn't sure about fit or sound. The site was clear though, split options by moderate/severe/profound and they list brand names with discounts, plus a 30-day return and one-year warranty which helped calm me. Support replied within a day and helped me pick rechargeable moderate ones. The Bluetooth app lets you tweak treble, mid and bass to suit your hearing, which surprised me and I'm fairly pleased.
Little sounds, big difference
I never clocked how many tiny noises I’d been missing until these went in — the kettle’s whistle, leaves on the pavement, people muttering at the bus stop. At first I fumbled with them (honest, a bit clumsy) but they soon sat comfortably and felt natural enough to forget I was wearing them. The follow-up from the company was proper helpful — calls to check I was OK, emails with short tutorials and they even sorted supplies when I asked. It’s nice not to keep saying “sorry, what?” all the time. If you’re nervous, don’t be; give them a go and be prepared to hear more than you bargained for.
