their phone seemed down for ages and the contact form got no reply, which was worrying. It really dragged on, months of waiting, and I was half ready to start a chargeback. The thing that swung it for me was the report itself — when it finally arrived it was clear, professional and easy to understand, so that reassured me. Price was fair compared with other private tests. So, be prepared to chase, but the result I received was solid and in the end I felt okay about using them.
Paid up front, kit never arrived
they took the payment on 21 October and that’s the bit I remembered first. I ordered a PSA kit and then… silence. Website said delays because the lab was moving — an original estimate to 30 October, later moved to 14 November. I was sceptical, rightly so, and contacted support. They weren’t brilliant at first, some slow replies, but after a chase they agreed a refund and handled it without fuss. Delivery never happened in the end, so score-wise that’s poor, but the refund restored my trust a little. I’ll use a different provider next time and I’ll check reviews properly. Other companies were quicker in my experience, so this stood out.
Not the partner we hoped for
you ask one thing and their replies go off on another thread, and it drags the whole process out. Weekends they’re closed too, which sounds minor until you need a result on a Sunday. There was one awkward moment when the owner came in and registered patients, then asked us to do it again three hours later (bit of a shambles). I’ve saved emails and records, so this isn’t just a gripe. Slightly useful in parts, but overall I’d recommend looking round — unless you’ve got patience to chase them.
Second thoughts, then relief
booking was painless, the price felt reasonable (about £35), and the result came back quickly and was added to the NHS system, which actually mattered to me. Delivery was fine, same-day courier, well, next morning actually, but fast enough. The annoying bits — pushy travel-style marketing and their request for a passport number — felt unnecessary, and I grumbled about that, I did. Still, the test itself worked, the lab were efficient and polite, and I left feeling a lot calmer and oddly grateful. It's a shame public provision is reduced so we're left buying our way to peace of mind, but on balance I'd use them again.
