I was halfway up a muddy hill on a Sunday long run when I realised I'd actually stopped fiddling with my kit — that was the moment I knew they'd nailed it. I bought the backpack and the 4L hydration vest because commuting plus weekend endurance sessions had left me with a sore back and too many ruined cheap bags. The backpack is deceptively roomy (loads of pockets, smart organisation), feels light on, and doesn't make me look like I'm carrying my life. The vest sits dead steady, no annoying bounce, and pockets are exactly where your hands go. The materials feel tough but not stiff, and after a few washes it's held up. Customer service replied quickly when I had a question, which helped. I'm properly chuffed — relieved, even. Worth the money, honestly.
Wet-run conversion
Halfway through a soggy weekend run I remember thinking if this pack leaks I’ll be fuming — that was the moment it really proved itself. A mate from the local running club had tipped me off after he’d been using one for months, so I ordered with a bit of scepticism. The delivery actually turned up faster than I expected and was neatly packed, which set a good tone. I’ve been alternating it with a smaller day bag for commuting and quick overnight trips, and it’s stood up to rain, cramped trains and the odd toss into the boot. The hydration bits are clever and simple, not fiddly, and the fit feels thought through — I admit I doubted that at first, but it’s comfortable once you tweak the straps. I did have one tiny question about sizing and customer service replied properly within a day, very friendly and sorted my worry without the usual runaround. Price feels fair for the build quality; not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Overall, pleased I followed that recommendation and glad I gave it a go — a sceptical start, happy finish.
A decent run bag, shame about the wet bits
I first noticed this bag in a shop window and liked the shape, so I bought it after reading a couple of good reviews and then I told a mate at work to have a look too. At first I was pretty pleased — it's comfy to run with and the detachable running belt is actually handy while you're out, even if there's no neat place to stash it afterwards. The chest strap keeps sliding up though, which is annoying on longer runs; I kept stopping to fiddle with it. The internal organiser box is over-big for my needs, eats up space, and means I can't fit my trainers above it unless I squash things. Those are small gripes, and overall I did enjoy using it for a few weeks. My real gripe came on a rainy commute. I opened the bag and stuff inside was damp. Not a light sprinkle — water seemed to seep through the stitching and even into the laptop/tablet pocket. That felt wrong for a bag sold to commuters and runners. I can forgive a wonky strap or awkward belt, but not that. If the manufacturers sorted the seams and made it properly water-resistant then this would be much closer to a five-star pick for me. As it stands, I'd recommend it for fit and comfort, just not if you need dry kit on wet days.
