I started using this kit on our twice-yearly clinic trips to rural Guatemala and I have to say, first glance was promising — parcel arrived alright and the unit looked simple enough. Took a minute to get the lancet set up, instructions were a bit terse so I muddled through. Once we were using it, the A1C readings were really useful for deciding if someone with a single high reading had diabetes and for checking women we suspected of PCOS. Not perfect — the app connection is a bit flaky and support only replied after a couple of days — but it definitely improved our on-the-spot decisions.
