I was really doubtful before I bought this because I’ve spent years trying different creams and serums and felt a bit jaded — expensive bits, odd reactions, none of it lasting. I ordered Klira about a year and a half ago and on day one it felt... calmer, actually. Not dramatic overnight magic, but less burning, less redness, and by month two people noticed I wasn’t hiding my face under layers of foundation. I now skip most complexion makeup most days, which I never expected to do. I’ve added their day product recently and it sits nicely under moisturiser, no pilling. The team answered a couple of emails quickly and helpfully, which makes a difference. My skin isn’t perfect, but at 56 it’s the best it’s been in ages and that’s a proper relief. My only gripe is I wish I’d been braver and started sooner — might've saved myself some money and stress. Would recommend it to friends who ask, genuinely. Overall, pleased and still using it.
Steady practical help
she suggested specific barrier-repair steps, paused my next deliveries while I healed and outlined a sensible reintroduction plan for the day/night routine. She answered my silly photos and questions without making me feel daft, and she followed-up over a few weeks as the steroids did their job. It wasn't theatrical, just a steady, competent thread of help that made the difference. I'm not usually this pleased with customer service, so it's worth saying — glad I reached out, and glad they handled it properly. If you're sceptical because of other patchy experiences, this felt refreshingly competent and considerate. I really appreciated that.
Late doubts that never left
Halfway through the consultation I realised I was already sceptical, and that scepticism didn’t go away — if anything it grew. I’d gone to a well-known private clinic for a minor rash and the doctor steered the conversation towards a colleague’s skincare line. She talked about dry skin and stepped through my routine, asking what I used, then offered a formula from that clinic-associated brand. I’d seen the range on their shelf when I walked in, and a receptionist had casually mentioned the line beforehand, so there was some social proof. That, and the clinic setting, made me pause but not enough to refuse on the spot.
Little win for my skin
the skinsize quiz actually asked sensible questions, the video call was relaxed (not clinical), and the prescription felt tailored — not one-size-fits-all. The Special itself is lovely: a silky, gentle mix that soaks in without leaving a film, and it smells faintly of nothing — which I like. Morning routine is the Dayscript, evening is the Special, and applying both has turned into a proper little ritual — calming, quick, doable even when you're a busy mum. My skin smoothed out within a couple of weeks; the flare-ups faded and my confidence nudged back up. I still have some redness and the odd spot, but that was expected — this is month one, and they tweak the prescription as you go, which feels reassuring. Compared to other brands that just slap a label on you, Klira actually felt supportive. Price is fair for what you get, and delivery was prompt. Definitely recommend if you want something that actually fits into real life.
A cautious heads-up after a long run-in
photos, emails, video calls, repeat, repeat. Different people replied each time, so you keep re-explaining yourself. They refused a refund on the basis of a reaction and kept deferring, which is tiring and feels stingy for a product at this price. My skin did recover after stopping everything, so I’m relieved it wasn’t worse, and I’m actually grateful it healed without lasting damage. To be fair, the Special formula wasn’t useless — there were small improvements sometimes — but overall my skin ended up more reactive than when I started. If you’re thinking of a subscription, take this as a caution: if it’s not working by a couple of months, don’t expect an easy way out. I recommended it to that colleague and told them to pause; glad they listened. Could have been handled a lot better, but at least I got out without permanent harm.
