BIOS updates, reinstalling Windows and Linux, swapping leads, testing power options. The machine would go to a black screen, reboot for no clear reason, and sleep/hibernate woke up unpredictably — sometimes nothing. A quick scan of forums showed others had the same odd behaviour. In the end I returned it and got a refund, which sorted the cost at least. Feels like the newest hardware is out before the firmware is finished; service helped, but daily use was just too unreliable.
Tiny dock, awkward button
fast transfers, no weird noise, monitors all wake up. The annoying bit is obvious — put it underneath and it smothers the Mac's power button. I know, who puts a button there? Bee-link suggested unplugging to start the Mac each time, which felt a bit meh coming from a supposedly premium product. Faffing with neoprene feet and tiny screws to fit the NVMe is fiddly too, took longer than the videos make it look. Still, when the SSD was recognised and the whole setup ran smoothly, that surprise of "oh — this actually nailed it" made the hassle worth it. I've had cheaper docks that conned me before, so this one being reliable was a pleasant shock. Mid-price, a couple of design grumbles, but overall I left satisfied.
Poor wireless by design
don’t buy the SER7 if you need reliable Wi‑Fi — the problem isn’t a flaky driver, it’s the hardware and support won’t help. I use this mini‑PC for day‑to‑day home office stuff and occasional media streaming, and wired it behaved perfectly for a year. Then I moved my desk and had to go wireless; speeds dropped to about 15–20 Mbps while my phone and laptop hit roughly 80 Mbps in the same spot. I went through the usual checks — drivers, BIOS resets, forum threads — and it turns out a lot of owners report the same thing. Looks like the internal antennas are poorly placed, so the radio just can’t pick up a decent signal. Support ran through fixes and eventually suggested I either buy a cheap USB Wi‑Fi dongle or pay to ship the unit back to China, saying my warranty had expired. That felt like shifting the blame — a manufacturing/layout issue isn’t wear and tear. Bottom line: it’s okay as a desk machine with Ethernet, but for a Wi‑Fi setup needed for remote work I couldn’t recommend it. Spend a bit more on something with proper engineering and a support team that actually stands behind the product.
Dodgy returns, decent little PC
I wasn’t expecting a saga when I ordered a compact mini PC for light home office stuff and the odd media evening — it actually did the job fine while I had it. Sadly the trouble started when I needed a refund. I sent the unit back to the German returns address they gave, DHL shows it arrived, but the seller’s logistics contact later claimed the box was empty. That bit really stuck with me — DHL’s tracking and signatures say otherwise, so you can imagine how frustrating that felt. The machine itself was okay, pleasant enough to use, but the whole back-and-forth over money left a sour taste.
They were slow to answer and then mostly sent the same templated replies, almost like pushing the problem back to me. It could be an isolated breakdown in their processes, and the mini PC itself performed as expected, but the returns and customer care need proper fixing. fine as a compact workstation, but not fit if you need the dual 10GbE ports. I first spotted this machine on a forum and a colleague actually tipped me off — sounded promising, so I bought one. Runs benches and general workloads very well, but when I try to use the onboard Intel E610‑XT2 dual 10GbE it destabilises the whole machine. In Unigine Superposition and 3DMark Time Spy I saw stutters, NIC dropouts, then full system freezes and reboots. After poking around I’m pretty convinced it’s a PCB/layout or power‑delivery issue (traces, VRMs, PCIe lanes) rather than a driver or BIOS bug — firmware updates didn’t help. The only reliable fix I’ve found is to disable the Intel NIC in BIOS, which makes it stable, stable actually, but of course you lose the two 10GbE ports — so the big selling point is gone. I’m now weighing return versus keeping it and adding an external TB4 10GbE card. Support have been frustratingly slow, seeming to stall until the return window lapses, which didn’t help my confidence. So: slightly sceptical at first, ended up content for non‑networking use, annoyed if you bought it for the high‑speed LAN features.
A pleasant surprise from a random tip
one unit got a bit warm under load, so I pinged them again. They didn’t argue, they booked a follow-up and gave a clear option to replace if needed. That kind of follow-through makes a difference — good to know there’s a warranty and someone is actually monitoring the situation. I’ve already recommended these to another colleague and shared my experience in the same forum where I first saw them. Not overly polished, but solid, and the delivery + support combo made it feel like a decent buy.
