    Stuck in limbo

Sat staring at my inbox while the order tracker stayed oddly silent. I went for the BOGO because it seemed better value than my usual supplier. I’d had progressives with photochromic from YesGlasses in under a week before, so I expected similar. Still, I did have doubts — the deal looked good but the delivery estimate felt optimistic. Those worries never really went away. Thirteen days later I’ve had a few different status replies and no firm answer. My partner paid for rapid post and theirs arrived in about seven days, so I know it can be quick. I’ve asked to cancel and get a refund so I can reorder elsewhere, but haven’t had a reply. It’s frustrating and a bit disappointing. If they answered properly I’d give them another go, but silence isn’t great.

    Good glasses, awful support

the glasses themselves are good, but the customer service made the whole thing a faff. I wear them most days for work at the laptop and for reading, and the prescription is spot on — so I'm actually glad they do what I needed. However, getting to that point was rubbish. I ordered over a month ago and ended up contacting support more than five times; phone calls unanswered, emails ignored and live chat that went quiet. In the end I had to open a dispute with my bank after paying with Cash App — took ages and was stressful. I wouldn't recommend paying that way. I'm mildly relieved the frames fit and the lenses are fine, but honestly they need to sort their support. Felt ignored, felt like I had to fight for my refund. Lesson learned.

    Bubble trouble turned oddly pleasant

they said they couldn’t refund because I was outside a 14-day returns window. I argued that selling a known-defective batch and refusing any form of redress felt a bit off, but after several back-and-forths I cancelled a second order I’d tried to place in frustration. Delivery and customer service are what I care about most, and at this stage I was leaning towards a warning post on the forum. The surprising twist? A while later they remanufactured both prescription pairs and sent them out to me. Fast forward and the replacements arrived neatly packaged, courier friendly, no visible fractures, and honestly that made me blink — I wasn’t expecting all of it to be sorted. So the service was a bit of a rollercoaster: prompt acknowledgement, poor initial resolution, then an unexpected fix. Delivery on the replacements was decent, packaging fine, and I appreciated the quick turnaround once they decided to act. Would I tip a friend to try them? I’d be cautious and mention the return policy, but also say they do, in the end, seem willing to remake faulty items. It’s been a mixed bag, really — frustrating at first, a useful surprise later.

    Never straightforward, sadly

first their system had a glitch, then that Uniuni would handle shipping, then that Uniuni wouldn’t ship until the strike ended. At that point they offered a courier upgrade — DHL or FedEx — for an extra fee. Fine, I said FedEx, paid the surcharge, then noticed they'd added shipping on top of the shipping charge itself, which they agreed to refund. That was the start of many small, irritating reversals.
They finally said it would go out later that day, which sounded good — FedEx should be quick, right. A handful of days later and both items were still on hold in the online status. I ended up spending a few hours across calls and chats. Responses were vague: "our system", "we'll let you know", no real timeframe for the refund. I ended up cancelling and buying elsewhere.
The bits I liked: the staff weren’t rude, and someone did eventually promise a refund. But the communication was inconsistent and the delivery handling was a mess, so I wouldn't recommend relying on them if you need something promptly.
