Eyeglasses
I recently bought a pair of glasses from this company and it was a really bad experience. I paid for the glasses back in April but they never arrived. Then when I tried to order again, they made me wait a whole month only to eventually cancel my order. The customer service was terrible - they never replied to my emails, didn’t keep me informed about my order, and even gave me fake tracking numbers. All in all, a company I wouldn't want to deal with again.
Affordable glasses
I got my glasses from here and they were such a bargain! I saw the same pair somewhere else for more money, so Mister Spex really came through on the price. But I have to admit, I was a bit let down by the late delivery. If it wasn't for that, I would have given them a top-notch rating.

The glasses I bought were so cheap, man! Way cheaper than anywhere else. To top it off, they chucked in free shipping as well. I ordered them on a Friday night, quite late, actually, and they turned up the next Friday. Can't believe how quick they arrived!

Late delivery of order
I ordered a pair of glasses in May and I still haven't got them. I've tried contacting customer service but I haven't heard anything about my order. The tracking number they gave me isn't much use either. I'm really let down by how they're handling things, it's so frustrating.

Contact lenses purchase
I recently bought some contact lenses and honestly, I was a bit disappointed. I ordered them on the 21st of May, but it's now the 3rd of June and they still haven't arrived. I got in touch with Customer Service and they told me there have been problems with their supplier, which is why my order is late. They said sorry and sent me an email with a tracking number, but unfortunately, I still can't track my order which is really annoying. The whole service has been so slow and I'm basically just sitting around waiting for my lenses to show up.

Even though the website seemed British, I ended up having to pay extra fees and wait longer because it turned out it wasn't actually based in the UK. I fancied getting some contact lenses online and thought Mister Spex would be a good choice. How wrong I was! It's been two weeks now and my order still hasn't shown up. The website promised delivery in 3-4 days, but that was a complete lie. I even gave them a call and Veronica gave me the runaround, couldn't even tell me when my stuff would arrive. I've tried emailing them as well, but no surprise there, no response. Definitely wouldn't recommend buying contact lenses from here, look elsewhere!

I bought a pair of sunglasses online and later saw the same ones on Mister Spex for a much cheaper price. It was really easy to find and order the sunglasses. The website was simple to use and I liked the detailed product descriptions. Checking out was fast and smooth. All in all, I was happy with how easy it was to order from Mister Spex.
Home trial
I ordered a home trial on the 12th Sept, on the 20th Sept I contacted them as the trial had not arrived and was told there are delays due to customs requirements. The trial finally arrived on the 23rd Sept. The trial was returned on the 27th Sept and received by them on the 1st Oct. On the 5th Oct they told me the trial hadn’t been returned and they had charged me. I sent them the tracking details showing that they had received the trial back on the 1st Oct. They apologised told me they would refund the trial cost, as they had received it back, and said that they charge for the trial if it isn’t returned within 21 days of it being sent. I pointed out to them that the trial arrived back with them on day 20, and that the only reason it took this long was due to the custom delay when the trial was sent out, and that I would expect them to be aware of these delays by now and make allowances for it. On the 7th October the £577 was taken from my bank account leaving me overdrawn. I contacted them again, to express how unhappy I am with this, and to tell them I will find out the overdraft costs and I will expect them to reimburse me. I received a reply telling me the trial hadn’t reached their warehouse, but that they would refund me the £577 as a gesture of goodwill!
I explained that they had already told me they had received the trial back as confirmed in a previous email from them, I have also told them, I will issue a small claim if they don’t pay the bank charges, as these have been occurred solely because of their incompetence.
Just to add insult to injury I have also just received a marketing email from them trying to encourage me to buy glasses from them. I realise that these are automated, but you would think they would have enough sense to turn these off when there is an ongoing dispute.
It’s safe to say there is no chance whatsoever of me purchasing glasses from them.
I will update this review on when I receive the refund and what happens with the bank charges.
I have left two stars as it’s now possible to leave any lower than that.
