I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure about handing my first children’s story over to a publishing company, especially with the artwork still changing. I started working with The Authors Divine a few months ago, and the first chats put me at ease. They were patient with all the illustration tweaks and never talked down to me. Seeing it finally listed on Amazon and Ingram felt brilliant. It also cost less than I’d expected, thankfully.
They caught what I missed
I used The Authors Divine while polishing my manuscript after work, usually with a cup of tea beside me. What surprised me was how many awkward bits they spotted before I even mentioned them. The changes I requested were handled well too, so it felt collaborative rather than rushed. Email replies did drag a little now and then, which was mildly frustrating, but the actual editing was solid.
A site that finally feels like mine
I was a bit wary after seeing rather bland author sites elsewhere, and I assumed mine would end up looking much the same. It didn’t. The mobile version is the bit I noticed most; my books and blog are actually easy to browse on a phone, which matters. Everything feels clear without being plain. Prices are not exactly small for a first-time author, though, so a starter option would help.
