they kept trying to take money all month, and after they'd already taken 9.99 on the 31st of March they attempted 15.99. Proper annoying, kept getting excuses when I asked for a refund. In the end, after a few grumpy emails and a call, they did refund the 9.99 — so I’m relieved it’s sorted, but it took way too long. Wouldn’t recommend unless you like chasing customer service.
Think twice before subscribing
Halfway through unboxing the first delivery I realised a few things were missing and I wasn't that impressed. I had hesitated before signing up and, annoyingly, my doubts stuck — cancelling online isn't an option. I emailed to cancel, chased up a couple of times and got nothing back, then was told I'd been charged £15.99 for another box. The bits I did get were ok, just not worth the faff. Compared to other companies this felt sloppy and slow to reply.
Trial that turned into a bit of a faff
tick; packaging and the little surprise treat were decent. Customer service-wise: meh, could do better. If you’re trying the “pay delivery” route, be prepared to chase things up — and maybe don’t do it just before a holiday period unless you like waiting.
Surprise treats, with a snag
I first spotted one of these boxes at a mate's flat and he wouldn't shut up about it, so I gave it a go. Opening it felt proper like unwrapping a present — little bags, clever packaging, a mix of soft biscuits, crunchy crisps and a couple of weirdly flavoured things I wouldn’t normally pick. They’re fun to try with a cuppa on the sofa; some bits are instant favourites and get used straight away, others sit in the cupboard for weeks. A pain is when you actually want to rebuy something and can’t find it in any shops locally, so you end up placing a big online order. Not perfect, a bit hit-and-miss, but good for discovering new tastes if you don’t mind taking a chance.
Quick Christmas win
a ready-made present. I spotted it on Instagram and thought it would save me time. Ordering was straightforward, though I did notice dispatch took until the next week because I ordered on a Monday; the site warns you, so no surprises. Delivery after dispatch was quick and the packing kept everything intact. The box was crammed with bits I hadn't seen before, so it felt like more than I'd expected, and paired with what I already own it made a proper haul. I only bought a one-off though, so I can't say how their subscriptions run. If you want an easy gift, give this a go.
Snacks or mystery groceries?
air fryer oil, a can of beer, tofu, some vitamin drinks. Started using stuff straight away that week because I was curious, and some bits were actually handy, but it wasn’t what I had in mind for packed lunches. Also, be warned about the billing/delivery dance: they billed for the next box ages before it arrived and you don’t get a proper chance to cancel once the first box lands. I argued with customer service and they did sort it in the end, so credit where it’s due, but it was more hassle than it should’ve been.
