My Frenchie can get himself worked up very quickly, especially around other dogs or when the house is noisy. I keep PAWD’s calming drink for those situations rather than giving it routinely, and it’s made outings feel far less stressful. He still notices things, obviously, but he doesn’t go from calm to full meltdown quite so fast. The biggest difference was at a recent vet visit; he settled much sooner than usual, which was a relief for both of us. I’ve tried calming products elsewhere that did very little, so this has been a pleasant surprise. Orders arrive promptly and the support team have been genuinely helpful too.
Walks feel manageable again
This has genuinely made a bigger difference than I expected. I started giving it to my Patterdale-Dachshund cross a few weeks ago, after our walks had become really stressful following an attack from another dog. My first thought was, honestly, “here we go, another product that promises loads”, but she drank it straight away and seems to enjoy it. Little by little she’s become less wound up outside. There’s still the odd bark, because she’s still her, but the constant whining and reacting has eased so much. I’ve also noticed far less marking indoors, which was a nice surprise. Seeing her more settled and relaxed has been such a relief. Not magic overnight, but definitely worth it for us.
The quiet change I hadn’t expected
The moment I really noticed it was on a usual evening walk, not even a big test. My dachshund saw another dog across the road and, instead of completely losing himself, he looked tense for a second and then settled. I honestly just stood there thinking, ‘wait, was that it?’ We’ve tried a few things before from other places, and some either made no difference or were a faff to keep up with, so I wasn’t expecting miracles. This hasn’t changed him overnight, and he still has his little dachshund opinions, obviously, but he’s much easier to bring back down when he gets worked up. Walks feel less stressful for both of us now. My mum even mentioned he seemed calmer when she took him out, without knowing I’d started using this. That was probably when I knew it wasn’t just me hoping for an improvement. We’re getting out more and I don’t dread busy paths like I used to. Really glad I gave it time.
A calmer morning for Bailey
The change wasn’t dramatic overnight, which I actually preferred, but after a couple of weeks Bailey seemed noticeably more settled. He’s a working cocker and basically my shadow, so the days I’m in the office used to be hard. He’d ignore his breakfast when I left, even though my partner was home with him, and I’d spend half the day worrying about it. We’d tried a different calming product before and, honestly, it made no difference at all. PawD arrived sooner than expected and the delivery updates were really clear, which was reassuring as we’d run out of ideas a bit. I had one question about serving it and customer service got back to me quickly, without making it feel like a scripted reply. I mix it into a little gravy over his food and he now eats normally when I’m out. He’s also less frantic if I pop upstairs or go into another room. There’s still work to do, obviously, but he seems happier and I feel much less guilty leaving for work.
