I actually stumbled across these at a Cornish food market when a mate shoved a sample under my nose. Their Festive Blend grabbed me straight away — warm spice, dark chocolate and a bright citrus hint. I pulled it on my Sage Oracle and the crema stood proud; it feels full in the mouth, not thin. Resolute is my weekday go-to, a bit darker but still balanced. I picked up a bag at the local Cornish food shop and have kept coming back. Not flawless — delivery can be slow if ordered through a third party and once a bag came a shade darker — but it didn’t spoil the cup. Overall great flavour, easy to dial in and proper good value for what you get.
Worth the tiny wait
The first thing that hit me was the smell — really proper coffee, deep and sort of bright at the same time. Honestly, I almost forgave the slow start; the parcel took longer than the promised 48 hours (was stuck at 'Label Created' for a bit), but once it arrived it was worth the wait. I’ve been using it for my morning cafetiere and for a quick espresso after lunch — good crema, nice body, and it stands up to milk without going flat. The bag seals well so it’s stayed fresh across the week. Small gripe about delivery, but the coffee itself? Proper lovely, and it’s become part of my routine.
Not what I expected, but a decent cup in the end
good crema, smooth mouthfeel and a flavour that grows as you sip. Had to deal with an AI chat that kept changing its mind about returns, which felt a bit daft, and a human reply that didn’t help much at first. Still, once sorted they refunded the unopened bag and sent the right roast next time. So yeah, a bit of a faff up front but the actual coffee is enjoyable — I found myself making extra cups, trying different grinds, that sort of thing. If they sort their packaging and support, this would be a proper keeper.
A cracking brew, a rubbish subscription experience
decent crema, nice roast, the sort you’d happily grind for a lazy weekend. Trouble started with the online setup. I signed up for the “rotating espresso” plan thinking I’d get variety every delivery, but they kept sending the same blend for weeks. Turns out that’s how their rotation works — same every month, then it moves on — which wasn’t clear at all. You can swap online, apparently, but it took a couple of rounds of duplicate bags before I twigged that. I called to cancel (the person on the phone was helpful and polite, credit where it’s due) and removed my card — or so I thought. Then I ordered a one‑off, forgot to remove the card again, and somehow ended up on a weekly kilo subscription. Who drinks that much? So, tasty beans, clunky subscription UX. I’ll probably try elsewhere because I don’t want surprises on my card, but I’ll miss the coffee.
