Strangely, after two years of using the SKE Crystal Plus, the pink lemonade has gone downhill — most pods now taste faintly burnt and flat in a row. I tried it this morning and only one pod surprised me with decent flavour. Overall inconsistent and disappointing, honestly.

Paid for speed, got patience
Ordered last week and I was already unsure — paid extra for 24‑hour delivery because I needed it, but they sent it on a 48‑hour slot and pretty much ignored my messages. First impression when it arrived was okay, product fine, but poor communication left me cross.
Delivery left wanting
I placed an order for next‑day delivery on a rainy Monday and started using the product straight away — but nothing arrived. Customer service were oddly polite but kept telling me to "wait and see" and then reject the parcel when it turns up, which is useless because it never did. I’ll try my bank tomorrow. I'm mildly surprised the agent checked tracking and was sincere, but overall it's been a faff and I won't rush back to these sellers.
Quietly impressed, despite the cloudy pods
consistent hits, no weird gurgling, decent battery life and pods that lasted longer than I expected. That said, it’s not perfect. My gripe is the new opaque pods. I used to love the older ones because you could see the liquid level and avoid that nasty burnt cotton taste at the end. Now you just have to guess, and once or twice I’ve been caught out by a harsh, chemical-ish puff. It’s annoying but not a dealbreaker — the device itself feels premium, the pods click in nicely and the overall value is good. Small win: the older, see-through pods still fit the new device, so I’ve been keeping a few as backups. In short, solid kit, reliable performance, minor design change that I’d like them to rethink.
A cautious swap that paid off
I first saw one at a mate’s, he was all casual with it and I thought, hmm, another disposable—aren’t they rubbish? I was sceptical, worried a rechargeable would be a faff or just as short-lived. Turns out I was being daft. The SKE Bar Crystal Plus feels proper solid, and the refill pods have some surprisingly good flavours — not garbage, honestly. Took me a few tries to stop puffing like a cigarette (yes, I did that) so don’t expect marathon sessions, but once you get the smaller draws it’s fine. Rewards scheme is handy too. My doubts? Mostly gone, happily.
