no emails answered, no calls picked up. The beer itself was drinkable — not the same — so it did its job at the party, but being charged the higher price for the cheaper stuff left a sour taste. Not ideal.
Quick reply won it for me
I ordered from them a couple of weeks ago, after a long day. I saw some negative reviews and my order stayed 'pending' for a while, which made me a bit uneasy. So I messaged via Facebook. The reply came back quickly and answered the questions I had, which calmed me down. That response was the main positive for me — clear and helpful. The dispatch notice arrived the next day and the parcel showed up sooner than I expected. It was packed neatly and exactly what I asked for. Overall I'm fairly pleased. Not perfect, the initial status caused stress, but the smooth communication and fast delivery won me over. Would recommend, fairly straightforward.
Nearly gave up, then they surprised me
courier tried three times, messages went back and forth, and I was getting nowhere. I was about to write them off, honestly. After a week of email ping-pong I phoned, because emails felt like shouting into the void, and an actual person eventually picked up. Bit of an awkward pause, a couple of “let me check”s, but then the manager called me back — unexpected — apologised properly and sorted a fresh dispatch with clear tracking. That was the moment I relaxed, really; the relief was almost comical, like finally finding your keys in the pocket you already checked. Still, it wasn’t seamless and I did have to chase, but they fixed it and kept me updated after that. Would I tell the friend who recommended it? Yes, but with a warning to be a bit patient.
Worked in the end, but what a palaver
it arrived and I'm relieved, but I'm not going near them again. I ordered on 20 June because we needed a decent bottle for a tiny housewarming — I’d hurt my back and couldn't be running about collecting things, so delivery mattered. From day two no one answered: full mailbox, ignored live chat, emails unread. I made something like thirty calls over a couple of weeks, rang the warehouse, DPD and the local post office before I realised they'd marked it for collection in Kent while I'm 628 miles away in Scotland. I had to get them to reverse it, then wait again. It turned up about two weeks late. The bottle itself was fine and I was properly glad it came, so that's something, but the handling and lack of communication were awful, really. Useful in the end, but I won't risk another order unless they've sorted customer care.
When the driver finally turned up
I needed that order because my husband’s on oxygen for COPD and we were expecting guests — fourteen of them, yes, it’s a stupid number — so every pound mattered. I ordered online, paid for faster delivery (about £138 overall), and then it didn’t arrive when it should have. Calls went unanswered for a bit and I was pretty cross, not going to lie. The moment I knew I’d be alright was when the driver actually rang the bell and handed over the boxes. Nothing dramatic — just relief, and my husband asking where it was like he’d lost something important (which, in our case, he had).
It’s not perfect. Communication could’ve been better; I had to chase and I could hear the stress in my own voice while I did it. The packing was fine, product as described, but late. For what we needed — a decent amount for a family get-together and to make sure my husband didn’t feel left out — it did the job. If you can cope with patchy customer service and want reasonable prices, it’s okay. If timing is everything, maybe be cautious. For us it worked in the end, though it was a worry for a while.Whisky
Scammers ignore emails and don't process refunds. Stay away plenty reputable companies in this industry.
Non-alcoholic lager
Bottles arrived broken by DPD. I refused the order and have now spent two weeks trying to contact 'Support'. Absolutely no support available, ignored emails, no telephone contact, online chat not working. Finally asked to give the pictures by Anuj, which I had already sent for them to carry out an 'investigation' ... into the ether, no response, no replacement, no refund, no I will never use them again
Wine order
I've just ordered some wine from The Bottle Club, but it was a bit of a nightmare. Supposed to arrive in 3-5 days, but ended up taking 13 days because of a bank holiday and a mess-up with the delivery company. When it finally arrived, the wine was smashed. I had to reorder with express delivery, but that didn't happen, so I had to wait another 4 days. The Bottle Club's service was alright, but overall it was a pain with all the delays and messing about with the delivery.

I ordered so many drinks for this party, but they took absolutely forever to get here! I ordered them last Friday for a party happening the next Saturday, but they didn't show up until the Tuesday after the party. Can you believe it? Oh my gosh, the prices for the wine and delivery seriously need sorting out, they're just way too expensive! But on the flip side, the packaging and quality of the wine were really good, so I suppose that's a positive!

However, I was very let down by the excessive and non-recyclable packaging that my order came in.
