    Mixed bag, product actually fine

    the item itself feels solid and fits how I wanted to use it — comfortable to handle, works as expected. But the customer service was painfully rigid: they wanted a printed bit of paper before they’d help, claimed they couldn’t check stock otherwise. Some freebies never arrived and packaging was thin, bits can get damaged. Glad the main thing works.

    Barely-fitting box

    I saw this after a mate recommended it and I was a bit wary — bottles bought online can arrive a mess. I ordered two, one for me and one as a present, and the gift came with the free glass in the boxset shattered. Little shards ended up on the bedding where my two‑year‑old plays, which was worrying. I sent photos and all they offered were apologies. The drink itself is fine, tastes as expected, but the packaging and the response let it down.

    Morning kettle kerfuffle

    "out for delivery, arriving today, 22nd." Nope. Still no kettle. It's become a bit of a joke in the house — cold tea for the morning, faff and checking the tracking like it's a soap. Hope the refund actually appears soon, otherwise I'll just pop to Asda and buy one myself.

    Halfway through unpacking

    I was halfway through putting the crate away when I realised it wasn't what I'd ordered — Dublin label instead of the Nigerian Guinness I paid for. I took a photo and emailed them; they wrote back saying it was just a new Nigerian label and I was wrong. After a long phone call they finally agreed to refund the price difference, but since then radio silence and still no money. Delivery mistake, slow/no follow-up from customer service. I should have checked sooner, my fault.

    Bit of a rollercoaster

    I’d give them another go, but only with my eyes wide open. I was halfway through unpacking the espresso Baileys when I clocked the sell-by — six months old. First impression had been promising, nice bottle, good weight, so I was a bit annoyed. I rang them straight away and they said someone would collect it that day — nobody turned up. I’d already tried to send photos via their link, which didn’t seem to work, so they’ve rebooked a pickup. Reading other reviews made me think they might assume people won’t bother. Still, the staff sounded keen to help, even if the follow-through was messy. Would like a refund instead of faff, though.

    BUYER BEWARE

    I purchased 20 cases of non alcoholic Kopparberg cider. I was emailed two days later that there was a pricing error. They offered me out of goodwill to "Proceed with the order by paying for one case at the correct price of £14.49, and we’ll include three additional cases at no extra cost or cancel the order entirely, in which case we’ll issue you a full refund.".
    i asked for them to refund me the order (so that i could actually make the £14.49 payment) and that i would then make the 14.49 purchase ""Hello If you would like to refund me the amount I originally paid and then I will make the £14.49 payment after I receive the refund into my account. Regards". They sent the refund and i made the £14.49 payment.
    After that they got in touch with me again saying "I hope you are well and apologise for the delayed response. Please place the order as usual for the 1 case and I will speak with the management regarding the 24 bottles offer we provided previously. Once you have placed the order, please email us the order confirmation number.".

    All seemed to be going well until i got another message 3 days later saying "It appears there was a mix-up on my part — I had mentioned that you would receive three cases free of charge, but I’ve since realised I misunderstood the information provided by our team. I’m truly sorry for any confusion or disappointment this may have caused. As a gesture of goodwill, we’d be happy to offer you the three cases at the same price you paid for your initial order, rather than at the standard rate."

    So two acts of fault, both of which had been paid for by myself, with the latest being carried through until they suddenly decide they don't want to go ahead and give me that offer anymore and WANT TO CHARGE ME for the privilege of the product they already mispriced and then tried to offer me for free.

    They then tried to worm out of it by saying " it was clarified that the goodwill offer was to either receive a full refund (which you requested and we have honoured) or to receive three cases for the price you initially paid - which I misunderstood for offering 3 cases free of charge. " as if somehow me being clear and honest with them from the start about the buying procedure and them accepting what was happening to the point of me giving them a confirmation number, somehow indicated that i picked a full refund and to cancel the transaction entirely.

    To date there has been no change in their stance and thus have been reported to trading standards for misleading business practices and breach of contract.

    BUYER BEWARE terrible customer service, terrible business practices with VERY questionable integrity.

    Damp box and one bottle gone

    I opened the parcel on the kitchen floor and it felt wrong straight away. The cardboard was damp and the bottles rattled. Bottle lids were battered, not just a scratch — proper dents. One wine was missing, which was the worst bit. The internal packing was minimal, so bottles had obviously banged together. I phoned and chased a few times. They said they were contacting the courier, but that didn't get my bottle back. I did eventually get a refund, which I'm relieved about, but it took several calls and a fair bit of time. Feels like basic packing checks were skipped. If you're ordering bottles, take photos at delivery and expect to chase if anything's off. Won't order from them again, sadly.

    Disappointed and let down

    refund only, no compensation. They ended the call with a sarcastic “have a nice day”, which felt unnecessary. Annoying, inconvenient and left me scrambling for a replacement at short notice. They did refund, so that’s the only positive, but overall very poor handling.

    Not what I ordered, then sorted

    I saw the listing on their website after a mate tipped me, so I ordered a 2004 Moët & Chandon magnum. The confirmation — or the later message — said they were sending a 2015 instead. They hadn't told me up front; I rang to check the address and found they'd already decided to swap the bottle. The customer rep was abrupt, cut me off a couple of times and even hung up once, which was irritating. After pushing back I eventually got a full refund and a 5% voucher, which felt a bit token, but it closed the case. The moment I actually felt satisfied was when another seller sourced the proper 2004 quickly and their staff were straightforward and helpful — that contrast made me relax. So I'm still annoyed at the misleading listing and the poor manner of the first agent, but practically speaking the refund plus the other supplier delivering the right bottle meant the problem was resolved.

    Spiced apple drink

    I found the website a bit tricky to use when I was trying to order the spiced apple drink at first. But then I realised I could just call up and place the order that way, which made things much easier.     Green Chartreux bottle with new user discount

    I made a mistake with the address when I placed my order, but the customer service team fixed it for me right away with no trouble at all. I was really impressed with how they sorted everything out so quickly. They even gave me a discount for being a new customer, which persuaded me to buy a more expensive bottle of Green Chartreuse that I wouldn't have otherwise.     I couldn't find Schweppes blackcurrant cordial in any supermarkets near me so when I discovered it on the DrinkSupermarket website I was really delighted. Ordering online was so simple and easy. They kept me updated on when my order was dispatched and when it would be delivered. The price of the cordial was quite reasonable, especially as it's hard to find in stores.
