Subscription renewal issue
I had a bit of a nightmare dealing with a company when I tried to renew my subscription. The customer service person wouldn't help me unless I gave them my payment info over instant chat, even though the problem had nothing to do with money. It really got on my nerves and made me feel completely stuck.
Learning app for kids
This learning app is completely focused on American English, which can be annoying for British users. There isn't a choice to change to UK English, so children are being exposed to American spellings and words, which isn't ideal. It would be really helpful if they could add a UK English option to accommodate users from outside of the US.
Subscription Scam
I never even signed up for this thing and somehow they were still taking my money! It was such a pain trying to cancel and stop the payments. Just a big scam, I tell you!

I attempted to cancel my subscription, but it turned out to be a complete nightmare. Despite sending an email and receiving confirmation that it was cancelled, I still ended up being charged and there's another pending payment showing up. It all seems quite fishy and honestly, it's really frustrating.

I got caught in a subscription scam with this company. Last August, I signed up for a one-year subscription for my grandson, but he's now moved away. Even though I cancelled my subscription right away after being charged for another year out of the blue, they wouldn't give me a refund. I wasn't even told when my subscription was ending, and the customer service was terrible. They didn't reply to my emails, and it felt like I was being ignored without any way to fix things.
Educational website subscription for children
I've found that the website is quite slow and after six months of using the subscription, I personally don't think it's been very helpful in teaching my child how to read. I'm also a bit disappointed that the website presents evolution as a fact to young children without giving parents the choice to control or adjust the lessons. When trying to set up reading sessions, I've noticed that sometimes the lessons veer off to other activities like colouring or discussions on evolution, instead of focusing on letter sounds like they should. It feels like there's not much control for parents, as you need to keep a close eye and step in often to make sure the lessons stay on track. A lot of the content seems to be more about songs and colouring rather than proper educational materials. Overall, I haven't really seen the kind of progress I was hoping for using this program compared to other options I've tried in the past.
Annual subscription ABCmouse early learning app
I went and got myself a yearly subscription for this learning app, but then when I went to get it on the app store, it wasn't there! They put out this new app that wasn't what I signed up for. So I got in touch with customer support and they told me to use the website, but it's just not the same! I'm so annoyed because I've already paid for it and now I can't even access it. All I want is my money back!
Free trial subscription
I would definitely recommend avoiding any free trial offers from this company. It's a nightmare trying to cancel your subscription once you give them your payment details. I had a really frustrating time trying to cancel my trial with them. The website keeps sending you to different pages and offers instead of actually confirming your cancellation. They shouldn't be allowed to trap people into keeping their subscriptions like this.

My time with this subscription service was an absolute nightmare. They told me my service would be stopped because of a problem with my credit card, so I chose not to follow their cancellation notifications since I wanted the subscription to just end on its own. Yet, they kept charging my account without asking me. Only after I got the Glendale, CA BBB involved, was I able to get my money back. But, they acted like they were the ones doing me a favour by giving me a refund. It was obvious they weren't happy about doing what was fair.
