On a slow evening I clicked a link a mate sent me and was immediately sceptical — seemed like they push you toward a high payout then throw up screens. I almost walked away at that point, lots of surveys booted me. Then my account got frozen once I had some earnings (they said I’d answered only single letters). I complained, asked for my data under GDPR and — after a couple of awkward emails — they were responsive, explained themselves and released the balance. Still clunky, but my doubts are actually largely gone now.
Patchy survey delivery
Woke up to half my survey links blocked by a browser protector I paid for. I use Luxsurveys for a bit of pocket money and quick tasks between work and school runs, so interruptions matter. Some surveys load fine, others get flagged as risky. Support didn't give a clear answer, and delivery of invites seems hit or miss. Annoying but still usable sometimes.

Unexpected fees
I was really surprised when Lux Surveys told me that they only pay out through PayPal, but I don't actually have a PayPal account. Because of this, I'd end up having to pay quite a bit in fees just to get my earnings. This policy doesn't seem very fair and could be a big problem for customers who don't use PayPal. It's annoying to think that there might be sneaky fees hiding in something that should be simple and easy.
Annoying emails
Oh my goodness, Lux Surveys keeps sending me emails even though I never signed up with them. I tried sending them an email to ask them to stop but they are not listening. It's really getting on my nerves!

It's really disappointing when you find a company pretending to be a legit survey provider but actually doesn't deliver on their promises.
