the idea is good and I’m still hopeful, but the whole experience has been slow and a bit sloppy. I signed up in early December and I’m still waiting for anything concrete — that’s months of waiting. I tried to be patient, emailed a couple of times and got quite generic replies: “very busy”, “don’t use other apps”, that kind of thing. After a while they said I’d been put on a priority list, which sounded promising, but another month passed and nothing happened. I chased again, got an apology for the delay, asked for clarification and then… silence. So I do feel ignored at times, which is frustrating. I’ve followed all their rules (auto-book on, not checking DVSA myself, not using other apps) and I don’t live in a particularly busy area, so it’s odd that friends nearby using different services had much quicker luck. On the plus side, the sign-up process was straightforward and the concept — auto-searching and trying to find earlier slots — does work for some people, I can tell that. My advice to others: don’t put all your eggs in one basket — keep an eye on the DVSA site yourself and maybe run another app alongside this one. I’d also recommend being persistent with support; escalate if you have to, and ask for clear timelines. I want to be positive because I like the service idea, but they need to sort their communications and speed up. A reply after months would be nice, that’s all.
That gap-saved-my-afternoon
48-hour reminders cut the no-shows, you can tell pupils you’re 'on the way' or 'arrived', and the maps actually find the house (most of the time). The income/expenses bit makes end-of-year accounts less of a nightmare — a few clicks and it’s mostly done. There’s a free Esso fuel card too, which genuinely helps when petrol prices make you wince. I’ve tried a couple of other systems that felt like beta tests and nearly gave up, so I appreciated how proper this feels. Small hiccups learning the workflow (I’m human, and impatient), but run it alongside your paper diary for a fortnight and you’ll see. That one booked gap — that’s when I knew I wouldn’t go back.
