Started using them last month after stumbling on a quote online — I was half-expecting the usual faff, but the bloke who dealt with it, Luke, actually rang back when he said he would. At first I thought it might be sales spiel, but the follow-up and clear pricing won me over. Only minor gripe is the online form was a bit clunky and I had to try twice; otherwise decent value and proper polite service, so I'm happy.
Bit of a palaver, but machine's fixed
it’s fixed so I’m relieved, but getting there was a proper palaver. I only found the online claims form because a neighbour mentioned it over the fence, and I thought, why not try? I filled it in, received a confirmation four days later saying an engineer would be in touch within two days — which never happened. I emailed customer service and heard nothing back (crickets). So I phoned the helpline; the agent was polite, really polite, but basically told me my case had been handed to a third‑party, Service Power, and gave me their number to sort it out myself. So, yes, I had to ring Service Power and arrange the visit — bit daft that there's no single manager for the whole thing. In the end the engineer came and fixed the washing machine, for which I'm grateful, but the lack of communication, ownership and proactive updates made it longer and more irritating than it needed to be. Should be smoother, should be joined up, simple as that.
Halfway through toast
So there I was, halfway through breakfast, watching the oven tick over and thinking 'well, that was dodgy' — then the engineer turned up, fixed it in half an hour and actually apologised. I’d been burned by other firms before, so I’m proper relieved. A bit miffed about the initial wait, but honestly, glad it worked out.
