only one of the cooler wash/dry programmes will run properly and even when it completes a cycle a lot of garments are still soaking wet. I always take things out as soon as it stops, so I checked every obvious thing — the filter looked immaculate, no lint at all, which to my mind points to some internal fault rather than user error. I’ve had dodgy kit before from another retailer and got it sorted quickly, so I guess I was expecting something similar here, but unfortunately the help-line route was, well, difficult. Being put through to the manufacturer and hearing about call-out fees while the machine was barely used wasn’t great. That said, I don’t want to paint the whole picture as awful — the drum, build and general wash performance are solid and on the cycles that work it’s a good bit of kit. If you’re thinking of buying, be aware this kind of problem can happen and you might end up needing an engineer; I eventually decided to get an independent one for peace of mind. So, not perfect, won’t pretend otherwise, but not a complete disaster either. If the drying quirk was fixed it’d be a pretty happy buy. Overall I’d say there’s potential here, just be ready to push on after-sales if anything goes wrong.
Not the worst, but not the kind of company you relax with
this was a messy few days, and honestly it felt like a string of small disasters that never quite added up to a proper solution. It started with a fridge delivery that was late because the van broke down — fair enough, that happens. What annoyed me was nobody bothered to tell me. I had to ring them. One of the two drivers turned up out of breath, sweating, already in a mood. He was the sort of bloke who tells you about his day like you’re his mate, but in a grumpy way: “van broke down, I’d have gone home but they paid me extra to stay.” Right. So already I’m thinking: not great for customer care.
The tipping point was when the polite lads turned up
I ordered a fridge and thought it would be straightforward. It was due on a weekday slot. On the day the van broke down and nobody told me. That’s how it started. First sign was the lateness. Then one of the two men turned up looking like he’d run the last mile. Sweating, short of breath, annoyed. He didn’t offer an apology. He muttered some story about the van and extra pay to stay. It set the tone. I knew I was in for a rough delivery.
