Honestly, I'm pretty happy — it was worth it. I was a bit wary at first about leaving boxes with strangers, but the Charlton unit is tidy, locked up and simple to use. Booking was straightforward and Dave sorted things for me, explained options and didn’t rush me. I store furniture while renovating and it’s made life easier, no big dramas. Quite relieved, actually.
Handy, no-nonsense
I first used this storage in spring last year and went back this winter for another unit. The place feels solid and plain. Units are clean. Access is early so I could pop in before work, which made a real difference. Staff are matter-of-fact and helpful, not overfriendly but practical. Security seemed robust. It's easy to use and I've no dramas so far, though the price is fair rather than cheap. Overall, a sensible choice and I'm quietly pleased.
Exactly what we needed
this place made a tricky move much easier. Staff — especially Liam and Laura — were matter-of-fact, knew the options and steered us through what felt like a maze. We hadn't used self-storage before, so the walkthrough and clear answers mattered; they showed units, explained sizes and costs, and didn't oversell. I'd recommend giving them a call and asking for the same assistance if you're unsure. Felt efficient and reassuring, which counts.
Nearly walked past it
I almost didn't bother — first saw the place on a mate's recommendation and that made me curious. I was a bit sceptical about cleanliness and security, and the whole idea of renting a big 200 sq ft felt like overkill. Zee met me, showed me round patiently, answered the same question twice because I kept worrying, and even matched a price I found elsewhere. The unit was spotless and felt secure, so my doubts mostly evaporated. It's been smooth, sensible and not rushed.
Quietly efficient
parking directions could be clearer, but overall I was cautious at first and ended up satisfied. Would recommend.
Handy but not flawless
I turned up on a damp Tuesday with a hire van and expected a faff, but they made the whole drop-off surprisingly straightforward. The team greeted me, handed over a trolley and practically helped load my stuff into the unit — proper helpful, not like those places where you’re left to fend for yourself. The paperwork took a bit longer than I’d hoped and the gate code was a tad fiddly, so it wasn’t flawless, but the staff’s patience and the way they handled the delivery of my boxes really made a difference. The site itself felt secure and tidy, so I wasn’t worried leaving things overnight. If I had one tip it’d be to book a slot for handover — saves waiting around. Would use them again, just expect a small delay.
Quick fix, bit rough
Sorted the router; got it delivered and fitted in under an hour. Customer service was patient, helpful. Works for my home office, though occasional dropouts.
Nearly didn't book
Was nervous at first — past storage woes made me picky; needed space for a move. Mr Khwaja Mo calmly sorted it, lent a trolley too, pleasantly surprised.
Saved my bacon
Honestly, I'd recommend it — it saved my bacon. I used it during my move last month; Leah sorted storage quickly, bit chaotic at first, but simple and useful, made life easier.
Small buy, brilliant service
Bought a small thing, and Jazz was genuinely helpful and patient. Pleasant to deal with, easy. I'd recommend them — tell friends to try if you need something quick.
Found through a mate
I stumbled on them after my mate mentioned his unit; Ash sorted everything out quickly, proper helpful. Delivery was on time, staff friendly, and the place was astonishingly clean — caught me off guard. Easy to get set up.
Friendly, with a snag
Good overall, but the lock issue worries me. I needed a unit for a house move, so access mattered. Staff were helpful and parking is easy. I was sceptical at first but now pleased — the bent locking bolt still hasn't been fixed.
Nice folk, easy parking
clearer opening hours on the door — that would save time too.
Worth it, despite doubts
Overall, definitely worth it — midway through the move I was sceptical. Using a unit while moving flat saved my sanity; the team helped pick the right size, sorted the paperwork and onboarding, and were genuinely helpful throughout, so I’d recommend them.
Worth the switch
Worth the switch. I signed up last month and already use the unit weekly. The storage itself is solid, exactly as described, and setup was straightforward. Staff on the phone were helpful, particularly a woman who wears a black scarf — she sorted my queries quickly, calm and efficient. Service is consistent. Not perfect, small paperwork delay, but overall practical and reliable. I’d use them again in the long run.
Second booking, fewer worries
Was sceptical about locking up our stuff and whether the move would be worth it, but the team at Reading answered questions and made paperwork simple. I use the unit for seasonal gear from my home office — surprised how much easier it made weekdays.
Late-night lifesaver
I was honestly a bit dubious about signing up — worried about access, sneaky fees and whether staff would actually care. Turns out my worries were mostly daft. One evening I’d lost my key and, just as they were about to lock up, a guy called Omari said he’d wait half an hour so I could nip home. I found the key in the end, but that offer was proper reassuring. The place is tidy, rates aren’t silly, and the whole thing felt human. If you’re hesitating, pop in and chat — maybe take a torch.
Still waiting on the postage
Halfway through opening the box I realised these weren't the builder gloves I'd ordered. I buy gloves in bulk for site work — 30 pairs for me and the lads — so it's a proper hassle when something's wrong. I phoned straight away; first person said no returns or refunds, which confused me because their site says otherwise. I rang again the next day and a different agent agreed to the return and said they'd refund both the gloves and the postage. The glove cost was refunded, but the postage — over £10 because it was a big parcel — never turned up. I sent the postage receipt when they asked, then nothing. It's frustrating and a bit careless, honestly. A follow-up would have made all the difference.
Saved my sanity during the move
Honestly, this place did the job — and pretty well — so I’d recommend it. I needed somewhere to stash boxes while moving flats and my bad back meant I couldn't be lugging things about, so a nearby, secure unit was essential. They were flexible on the dates and helped me choose a unit that actually fit (which saved me money). Communication wasn't perfect — a bit slow with the paperwork and I had to chase once — but staff were friendly, it’s fairly priced and it removed a huge chunk of stress.
Storage solution purchase
I bought some storage from this company recently and I have to say, I was really impressed with the service I got. The person I talked to on the phone was really helpful and knew their stuff. They put together a quote for me and took the time to answer all my questions. It was obvious they understood what I needed and gave me a simple solution that ticked all the boxes. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for storage solutions.
