Worth it, despite doubts
Overall, definitely worth it — midway through the move I was sceptical. Using a unit while moving flat saved my sanity; the team helped pick the right size, sorted the paperwork and onboarding, and were genuinely helpful throughout, so I’d recommend them.
Worth the switch
Worth the switch. I signed up last month and already use the unit weekly. The storage itself is solid, exactly as described, and setup was straightforward. Staff on the phone were helpful, particularly a woman who wears a black scarf — she sorted my queries quickly, calm and efficient. Service is consistent. Not perfect, small paperwork delay, but overall practical and reliable. I’d use them again in the long run.
Second booking, fewer worries
Was sceptical about locking up our stuff and whether the move would be worth it, but the team at Reading answered questions and made paperwork simple. I use the unit for seasonal gear from my home office — surprised how much easier it made weekdays.
Late-night lifesaver
I was honestly a bit dubious about signing up — worried about access, sneaky fees and whether staff would actually care. Turns out my worries were mostly daft. One evening I’d lost my key and, just as they were about to lock up, a guy called Omari said he’d wait half an hour so I could nip home. I found the key in the end, but that offer was proper reassuring. The place is tidy, rates aren’t silly, and the whole thing felt human. If you’re hesitating, pop in and chat — maybe take a torch.
Still waiting on the postage
Halfway through opening the box I realised these weren't the builder gloves I'd ordered. I buy gloves in bulk for site work — 30 pairs for me and the lads — so it's a proper hassle when something's wrong. I phoned straight away; first person said no returns or refunds, which confused me because their site says otherwise. I rang again the next day and a different agent agreed to the return and said they'd refund both the gloves and the postage. The glove cost was refunded, but the postage — over £10 because it was a big parcel — never turned up. I sent the postage receipt when they asked, then nothing. It's frustrating and a bit careless, honestly. A follow-up would have made all the difference.
Saved my sanity during the move
Honestly, this place did the job — and pretty well — so I’d recommend it. I needed somewhere to stash boxes while moving flats and my bad back meant I couldn't be lugging things about, so a nearby, secure unit was essential. They were flexible on the dates and helped me choose a unit that actually fit (which saved me money). Communication wasn't perfect — a bit slow with the paperwork and I had to chase once — but staff were friendly, it’s fairly priced and it removed a huge chunk of stress.

The people working at this storage place were really professional and helpful. I had a really good experience right from when I first called up to ask about renting a unit. I've been storing my stuff at SafeStore for nearly a year and it's been great. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the place is always clean and tidy. It's not open all day and night, but there's always someone around to watch over everything. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing a safe storage option.

The chap who helped me out, his name's Danny, was dead nice and answered all me questions. He really tried his best to sort me out, and I was proper grateful for it.
Move assistance and service
The service we got from the staff at the Wimbledon branch was top-notch. They were really helpful and polite, and had a great attitude when they were moving my stepmum's stuff from one storage unit to another. Even though I can't remember their names, you could tell they were total pros and really cared about making sure we had a good customer experience.

I've just needed somewhere to store my furniture and found this storage place. The guy I spoke to on the phone, I think his name was Danny, was so helpful in finding me the right storage option at a good price. I'd used a different storage place before and it wasn't great, so I was really happy with the service here. Danny really made sure everything was sorted for me and I trusted them to look after my furniture.

Secure storage for my deliveries
I've just started using this storage place in Cranford, and honestly, it's been a total game-changer for me. It's such a relief knowing that all my deliveries are safe and sound, giving me the peace of mind I've been craving. The staff there, especially Ly-Anne, are just fantastic at their jobs. Ly-Anne is always super helpful and goes the extra mile to make sure everything goes smoothly. She's a real asset to the company, they should definitely hold onto her no matter what!
Late payment charges
I've had a bit of trouble lately with late payment fees from the storage place. I got behind on my payments for personal reasons, but when I spoke to the manager and set up a payment plan, I was really surprised to find even more charges on my bill. It wasn't what we'd agreed on and it left me feeling really annoyed and puzzled. To make things worse, the wording on the invoice was so confusing, it just made me even more frustrated.

I recently got a new storage unit and had a great experience with a guy called Danny. He was really helpful and friendly, and did his best to get me a good deal. Thanks a lot, Danny! I'm excited to store all my things there for a long time.
