no replies to emails, the chat promised an email that never came, phone numbers went straight to voicemail — felt like being passed around. I chased it for ages, eventually opened a dispute with my card company and after that the refund finally hit my account. In the meantime we bought a different model from another supplier; that unit arrived and is actually decent — good weight, comfortable grip, a clear safety catch and a straightforward trigger, so it doesn't feel cheap or toy-like. Still annoying to have to fight for a refund, but relieved it ended up sorted. If you're used to quick, professional sellers this one is slower and patchy; compared to others that vanish, at least this resolved in the end. A small warning: don't expect fast answers.
Slight relief, but still pricey
Right in the middle of fitting the first camera I realised I could breathe a bit easier — they’d actually brought the right replacement and sorted the mess. At first the quote was odd, wrong parts and a price that made me wince compared with market rates, and their first replies were a bit flustered. I pushed back, and, to their credit, someone came out and swapped the kit and knocked a small amount off. It wasn’t perfect and I’ve had smoother jobs with other outfits, but that moment — when the install worked and they apologised properly — made me glad I didn’t walk away. Still check parts and prices though, don’t assume.
Not bad in the end
I was just browsing for boots because the headline price looked good, that’s when I started. First impression was “nice, cheap” — then I added shipping and the saving evaporated, so yeah, a bit meh. I put the pair in my cart, wandered off to look at other bits, came back and completed the order. Later that evening I found a discount code in an email they’d sent while my cart was still hanging about. Too late by then, of course, I’d already hit send. I phoned the next day to see if they’d apply it; after being shuffled around and a long hold it was refused. I was told I could use the code on a future order, so basically I should hang on to it until I need another pair of boots — which might be never. That annoyed me more than the small percentage off. Then, and this is the bit that made me actually relieved, less than two hours after I left a short review I got an email saying the boots were on back order and they’d issued a refund. Quick and clean, no fuss. So, for all the awkwardness with the code and the customer service runaround, the refund made the situation feel handled. I’m glad they didn’t drag that out; it would have left a sour taste. Would I order from them again? Maybe, but I’d watch shipping costs and keep an eye on stock. For now I’m satisfied that when things went wrong they sorted the money side fast, and that’s worth something.
Patchy service, decent kit
the kit does what I needed, but the company running the show is slow and a bit all over the place. I bought a handful of bits for my home workshop and a couple of things I use on my daily commute — so this was supposed to be practical, not a drama. The gear itself, once I actually had it, mostly works fine. Not mint, not perfect, but it does the job, and I’ve used it every day since without major complaints. So yes, useful — but getting there was a headache.
