Honestly, these are exactly what I needed — comfy, cute and solid. I bought them because my ankles have been protesting after long commutes and a previous cheap pair just ruined my feet, so I was desperate. They haven't had a full road test yet, but they feel cushioned where it counts (there was a tiny freebie and a handy little ankle pad which actually helps). Properly helpful, with a couple of hitches
