I nearly left this one alone after reading a few of the comments, but ordered three bits of ski gear anyway. What stood out for me was the communication, oddly enough. The order confirmation came through straight away, then the UPS tracking appeared two days later once the parcel had been registered. That’s pretty much what I’d expect, but plenty of shops still manage to make it confusing. Everything arrived a week after ordering, well packed and with no missing items. The salopettes and merino trousers feel better than I expected for the price, and the gloves have held up nicely so far. I’ve had cheaper outdoor gear from other companies turn up looking a bit sad in a thin bag, so this was a relief. Just worth checking the UK tax side before paying, depending on your basket total. For me it was all straightforward.
Returns changed the maths
By the time I found the returns page, the cheap price had stopped looking cheap. I had hesitation before ordering because I’d had a messy return with another online retailer last year, but the 30-day return mention reassured me enough to go ahead. That was the bit I should have checked more carefully.
Used to be my go-to
I'm cooling off with this shop — I loved them, but recent quirks have dented my trust. I first found them years ago after my sister raved about the quality and I even told half my mum-friends about the bargains, so this feels a bit personal. The short version: unexpected import fees popped up (I only knew when UPS emailed), then a vague reply blaming their website, and more recently an order that gave me a confirmation but no shipping update for over a week. I chased them and radio silence for two weeks. On top of that, I stopped getting their marketing emails out of nowhere (not in spam, didn't unsubscribe), and when I tried to sign up again it said I was already on the list — it’s like someone quietly pressed "ignore". I’m genuinely a bit gutted because the clothes have been lovely and fit my daughter well, but small admin things add up. I can laugh about it now, but it's annoying in practice — I don’t want to play detective every time an order ships. If they sort their comms and fees clarity I’d happily come back, but right now I’m more cautious than I used to be.
