Saw the rose lip exfoliator on a mate's Instagram and thought my mum would like it, so I bought it for Mother’s Day. When she opened it she said straight away it looked half empty — tube full of air bubbles and hardly any product — so I sent photos to customer service. Their first answer was vague and a bit evasive, which annoyed me. I stayed sceptical, but after my mum tried it and liked the feel and the result, I ended up feeling satisfied, surprisingly.
Worth the wait
I'm honestly really pleased with this — overall worth every penny. I bought the Zodiac Advent Calendar during their 12 Days promo and started using bits as soon as it arrived in early December. The delivery took about a week to Ireland, which was fine, and opening it felt like a proper treat. The selection is sensible, not random; several full-size items appeared and that was a lovely surprise. Texture and scents of the moisturisers and scrubs are exactly my sort of thing, and the packaging looks and feels high-end. There's a tiny bit of redundancy in some sample sizes, but that didn't bother me. I've been on the fence about Avant for ages after reading mixed chatter, but now I'll happily order again, soon.
Waiting game, mixed bag
Rummaging through the pile of parcels on my hall table, I half expected to find the advent calendar missing again. I had hesitations before buying — mainly that it looked over-priced and delivery seemed iffy — and they started to feel true when it didn’t arrive for ages. Asked for a refund, then got an email saying it had been posted with no tracking, which was annoying. Anyway, few weeks later it turned up. Not luxury by any stretch, packaging is cheap plastic, but few little treats inside were decent. Wouldn’t pay full price though; wait for a sale.
Avant 12 days of Christmas, Zodiac Advent Calendar
I recently decided to treat myself to the Avant 12 Days of Christmas, Zodiac Advent Calendar from their website after hearing great things about their moisturisers and lip scrubs. The calendar was a fantastic deal and I couldn't wait to see what was inside. Even though I'm in Ireland, the delivery only took about a week but it was definitely worth it. The calendar exceeded all my expectations - the products were full-sized and the packaging was really luxurious. I loved how much care was put into choosing the products for the calendar. Despite some mixed reviews I've seen online about Avant Skincare, I believe in forming my own opinions about products and companies. After my experience with the Advent Calendar, I have no doubt in recommending Avant Skincare and I would definitely buy from them again in the future.
Rose lip exfoliator
I bought a rose lip exfoliator from this skincare company not long ago, and honestly, I was really let down by it. When it arrived, I noticed that the tube was only filled halfway with the product, which was a bit of a surprise as I was expecting it to be full. I reached out to customer service and even sent them some photos clearly showing the air bubbles in the tube, but all I got back was a vague and unsatisfactory response saying that everything was as it should be. It was pretty disappointing, especially considering how expensive the product is. So, I've decided that I won't be buying anything else from this company again.
Subscription box products
It seems to me that the products from this brand are way too expensive for what they are. I've got some of their stuff in subscription boxes before, and I reckon the high prices are just to make the boxes seem fancier. You don't find them in regular shops like other posh brands either. Makes me wonder where they get their stuff from and how they make it. I reckon they might be cutting corners by using cheap ingredients from certain places and slapping on their own label. It feels like they're trying to make the boxes seem more special than they really are. That's why I don't trust them anymore and prefer to avoid their products.
Damaged parcel, poor customer service
I had a bit of a nightmare with my recent purchase. The parcel ended up being delivered to the wrong address and was left outside in the rain for a whole week. When I eventually managed to track it down with Royal Mail's help, the company completely washed their hands of it. They didn't take any responsibility for the damage or offer any kind of solution. The expensive items I bought were supposed to be a gift for my niece, but she couldn't even enjoy them because of the sorry state they were in when they finally arrived.
Deluxe Face Cream Purchase
I recently bought a fancy face cream from this company, hoping it would be as great as the mystery product I got from another seller. But when the order arrived, I found out the product was not what I was expecting at all. I was really let down, especially since I had paid a lot for what turned out to be a small sample-sized tube of face cream. I tried to get in touch with customer service using their online form and phone number, but haven't heard back from them at all. It's so irritating to feel ignored and not get any response from the company.
Advent calendar order
I ordered an advent calendar a while back but it hasn't arrived yet. I got in touch with customer service to check on it, and they said it was sent out but didn't provide a tracking number. It's been a few weeks now, and I'm still waiting for it to show up. Also, I'm not happy with the difference between the price I paid and what the products are actually worth. The ingredients don't seem to justify the high cost, and I feel like I've been tricked by how they set the prices.
Luxurious skincare products
I must say, these skincare products are absolutely brilliant. I discovered them years ago in a beauty subscription box, and I've been a fan ever since. The quality is fantastic, and I can genuinely see a noticeable improvement in my skin when I use them. I can't sing their praises enough!
Deluxe Hyaluronic Acid Vivifying Face & Eye Night Cream
Amazing product! I would buy again....
