return to China, signed-for only, and declare the value as $20. I paid about £45 to send them back the way they asked, which felt daft, and then the parcel stopped in Chinese customs. Royal Mail tracking showed no movement after that. I emailed the company and got the usual line — they hadn’t heard from customs and until they receive the goods back they won’t refund me. So you follow their instructions, pay extra, and then time runs out on your card provider dispute because you’re waiting for them to “hear back”. I’ve dealt with plenty of online retailers (both small overseas sellers and bigger UK names) and I’m used to a decent returns process — this wasn’t it. It’s possible the dresses would have been a bargain if they’d fit, and the fabric and finish were fine, so it’s not all bad. But the customer service approach was very defensive, slow to respond, and ultimately unhelpful; it felt like I was being given excuses rather than solutions. If you’re thinking of ordering, I’d use a credit card rather than a debit card and definitely size up from your usual UK fit (I’d go one or two sizes larger next time). In short: product okay if it fits, but returns and delivery handling are a mess and the customer service doesn’t close the loop. It’s workable if everything goes right, but don’t expect a smooth resolution if something goes wrong — you might end up chasing emails for months.
