I realised I was properly pleased halfway through a boring commute — I actually laughed, learnt things for everyday life; a bit rough around the edges, but fixed my messy mornings.
Nice little surprise
Opened the parcel and the book felt lovely — that new-paper smell, crisp pages, no creases. Arrived quicker than expected, a couple of days. Will order again, maybe include a bookmark next time.
Small shop, big know-how
I first spotted the little shop on the High Street and tipped a friend—now nice staff, really know their stuff. Mostly great service, though stock can be a bit hit-or-miss, price-wise okay.

What I like most is being able to nominate a nearby independent bookshop so my purchase actually helps them; that little choice feels proper. Orders arrive promptly, tracking is reliable, and once I even got a tiny handwritten note from the shop (which surprised me). Communication about delays is clear too. It's simple to use. I haven't bothered buying elsewhere recently, and probably won't.
