    Delayed order

    Six months back, I ordered something from Magazines Direct and it's a shame that it hasn't shown up yet. I've been waiting eagerly, but the wait is starting to bug me. I got in touch with their customer service, and they promised me a refund. It's a bit annoying that my order never made it, but I'm thankful for their quick action in sorting it out.

    I'm really let down by the service I've been getting from this company. I've been trying really hard to get my missing magazines sorted out, but I still haven't got a proper solution. They keep blaming the postal service, which feels like a bit of an easy way out considering I haven't been getting any magazines at all. I haven't had any of my original, replacement, or even current magazines for months. This kind of service is just not on, and it's really getting on my nerves. I would advise others to think twice about using this company because of their dodgy delivery and lack of taking responsibility.

    They keep taking money out of my account without asking! It's as if they believe they can just take from me whenever they feel like it. I've had to ring up my bank to get it all sorted, but I'm not even sure if I'll see my money again. It's completely unfair and it's really got to me.     I've been having a really frustrating and disappointing time with my magazine subscription from Magazines Direct. It's been going on since 2019 and I've had loads of problems with my account. I've wasted so much time sending emails and dealing with a really stressful process. Every time I think it's solved, a new person from Magazines Direct gets involved, and the problem starts all over again. I've asked so many times for the contact details of a manager or legal representative, but haven't got a useful response. If you get in touch, I'd be happy to explain everything in detail over email because there's not enough room to do it here.

    Magazine subscription overcharging

    My experience with Magazines Direct was really frustrating. They charged me too much for my paper magazine subscription. I tried to get help from customer service but got nowhere. They just told me to cancel my subscription when it ended. When I did cancel, they stopped it right away, so I missed out on my last two magazines. Then, when I agreed to an online subscription discount, they actually charged me more than we agreed on. I tried emailing and calling them lots of times to sort it out, but no one helped me. In the end, I had to get my bank involved to get back the extra money they took without permission. Dealing with Magazines Direct was such a pain and not worth all the trouble.

    Metal hammer bundle purchase

    I've been really disappointed with the online store I used. I ordered a metal hammer bundle, but then heard nothing for ages. When I finally got in touch to ask about my order, they told me it had actually been cancelled without letting me know. Apparently, it was their mistake. When they did eventually send out my order, they got it wrong and I received the wrong item. It's been a total pain and taken up so much of my time. I'm now trying to sort it out with their customer service team and hoping they'll send me the right thing soon.

    E-gift card purchase

    I'm absolutely appalled by the service I received from this company. I ordered an e-gift card four weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. I mean, how hard can it be to send a digital gift card? The customer service team were absolutely useless - they didn't offer any help or reassurance at all. It seems like this whole company is a total shambles. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, avoid them like the plague.

    May edition of Gardeners World magazine

    I'm a customer with Magazines Direct and I need to say I'm not happy with how the whole buying thing went down. I decided to get the May edition of Gardeners World back on March 9th, and even though they took my cash on March 11th, I didn't actually get the magazine until April 9th. This has meant I missed out on some good two for one deals, which really annoys me. Trying to reach their customer service has made things even worse - all the phone numbers I've tried have been wrong, making me even more frustrated. I feel like I've been tricked and I'm starting to think this company might be up to no good. I wish I'd checked Trustpilot before I bought anything, maybe I could've avoided all of this. Now, I want my money back, £9.99, so I can try to get the magazine somewhere else, if there are any copies still available.

    They sent me the wrong magazine twice! When I contacted the people at the store, they were not helpful at all. I mean, how difficult is it to send the correct magazines?     So, I went ahead and bought a 6-month subscription online in December for £21.99. However, I started receiving these letters claiming my payment hadn't gone through, even though the money had been taken from my card. Then, before I even received my first magazine in February, they decided to charge my card THREE times without my consent! They did refund me for the initial extra charge pretty quickly, which was a relief. But now I'm really struggling to get the second refund sorted out. Honestly, I'd recommend steering clear of this company - they're so underhand and their subscription system is just a mess.

    I've had quite a few bad experiences with this company, especially when it comes to missing subscription problems. For example, I was supposed to get the Christmas issue of SFX magazine but it never turned up. I got in touch with customer service and they told me there was a technical issue holding up subscription copies. They said they'd send me a replacement, but it never showed up. Even after chasing them up, I still haven't got the magazine, and it's already April. It's really disappointing because the whole point of subscribing is to make sure you never miss an issue. Another problem I had was when I ordered some bookazines and only got part of my order. At first, they blamed my credit card company, but later they admitted that their computer system only lets you order two items at a time. These delays and errors have been really frustrating and have made my overall experience with this company pretty negative.

The package only had some plastic wrapping, but luckily the item was not damaged when it arrived. One thing I think they could do better is to send more email updates about the shipping process, as I wasn't sure if my order had been sent or not. Overall though, I don't have any big complaints and would be happy to order from them again in the future.
